Coming back in August for first trip since 2001. Is also 1st time with DDP for my family that includes 2 teenage boys. My questions is what others think is best meal to use TS.

My original thought was the QS for breakfast get to park early...come back to CSR to get out of the mid day heat...then back to parks and TS later afternoon and night.

I'm sure others have posted what they prefer (especially during late August) but if you can share suggestions or what has worked for you it would be greatly appreciated.:yay:

our preference has always been to do poptarts or cereal bars in the room or on the way to the park for breakfast (we're rope-drop types! Love that early morning park time with no waits & get a dozen attractions done before lunch.) We do this for a couple of reasons - one is unless you eat counter service really, really early at your resort you'll find long lines in the a.m. so it will really slow you down. The other is we don't like to get to the parks and try to move fast on a full stomach - especially if you're heading for thrill rides! So light breakfast & get going works well for us. We get a ton done in a park from rope drop until about 11:30 -

Then we either eat quick service in the park or back at our resort. We take a swim/nap/rest in the A.C. break at the hotel in the afternoon, then have dinner reservation for sit-down dinner at or near the park we're going to in the evening.

So we're eating a light breakfast usually around 7-7:30 a.m., then eating lunch around 11:30 (many of the quick service lunches are quite large!) and then we have dinner reservation between 5 & 6 p.m. We rarely snack between meals because we get so full from Disney portions...they feed you well. A lot of days we buy pastries at a park bakery with our daily snack credit as we leave for our afternoon break, then have them for a late night snack or breakfast the next day (if you're thinking of doing this, take some large ziplock baggies with you - the bakery containers are not airtight. Ziplocks will keep your pastries fresh.)

We usually like to go to TS for dinner and QS for lunch.

Sometimes it also works out to do a TS brunch and QS dinner. Especially if the dinner is a Wolfgang Puck Express.

CATNE nailed it.....same for us. Snack or CS in the am at the resort (coffee, juice, a pastry/muffin; some even have egg sandwiches).....early lunch in the park, then an early dinner (start as early as 4pm for TS depending on the popularity of the restaurant)....use an early dinner to get back in the parks while everyone else eats....
