I believe I read about someone using a CS credit at Kringla Bakery in Norway, and I think they got an open faced sandwich, the Jarlsberg Leek soup, and a dessert - is that right? Could you choose any dessert, or were the options limited?

Also, what do you get for a CS credit at Boulangerie Patisserie in France?

Thanks!

Yes, you can use a CS credit at Kringla Bakeri og Cafe. You get an open-faced sandwich, soup or salad, pastry and a drink for 1 CS credit. The dessert was pretty much whatever they had available. DD got raspberry cheesecake and the rest of us got schoolbread.

My personal opinion: awesome desserts, good soup, below average sandwiches and very below average salads. We plan on going back in August, but to get a snack instead of a CS meal.

At the bakeri in Norway you can get a cup of soup, an open face sandwich, any of their desserts, and a large soda.

At the bakery in France you get a savory pastry (or cheese/fruit plate), a sweet pastry, and a medium soda.

FYI: for a snack credit you can get any of the pastries in Norway, but in the French bakery you can get only a med soda for a snack credit. None of their pastries are available as a snack credit.

I've used the DDP at the Boulangerie Patisserie several times. You can go one of two ways. You can get a non-specialty beverage, desert (or as the French call it "sweetie") and either a sandwich or quiche. Or, you can get a non-specialty beverage and TWO "sweeties".

I've done both. When I want a light lunch, I'll get quiche & a fruit tart. Sometimes, I'll get two deserts and a coffee before Illumination. You should see the looks I get while I'm enjoying my Napoleon and strawberry mousse :o)

This September, I'm going to see if I can get the cheese plate instead of a sandwich or quiche. That and a nice glass of wine from the F & W Festival will hit the spot!

For Boulangerie, does anyone know if you can get your CS stuff wrapped to go? I am thinking of stopping in before our 8:30 pm ADR at Chefs to get 4 CS "meals" (i.e. 8 pastries/sandwiches of one sort or another, I won't care about the drinks) to serve as our on-the-go breakfast the following morning, when we will be headed to Sea World.

The other places I thought about where you might be able to use CS credits to purchase to-go foods at night that could serve as breakfast the following morning are Boardwalk Bakery and Beach Club Marketplace (we are staying at BCV). Any thoughts?

What a great idea. I have one CS leftover that I can't think of when to use -- I would love to take something back from Epcot for a late night snack. Better than just losing it! And for some reason my kids are never hungry until after we're in the room with no food.

They do put the "sweeties" in a nice bakery box. Some items will keep better than others. Since you're at BCV, you have a fridge, so that won't be a problem. My napoleon was a bit soggy the next morning but the fruit tart was fine.
