DDP and multi-resort stay

My attempts to search for this topic failed miserably. So...a couple questions about the Disney Dining Plan and a split location stay.

I am staying at VWL for a couple days and SSR for a couple days. I am assuming I could purchase the DDP for either stay independently since each stay has its own reservation number? In otherwords, if I am staying at VWL for 3 nights, I can purchase DDP for 3 days.

Next question, if I only purchase for the first half of my visit, can I still use credits during the second half of my stay (ie while I am at the SSR portion of the stay)? Or do all credits have to be used within the timeframe of the stay with the specific resort?

Yes you can purchase the ddp for either part of your stay but the credits need to be used by midnight of your checkout day.

If you stay at VWL for 3 nights, you can have the DDP for 3nts. DDP is based on "nights" not days. Credits will be good on the day of checkout until midnight. So you'll be able to use any leftover credits the day you check out of VWL and move to SSR but at midnight the credits go the way of Cindy's carriage

Each DDP contract will be independent. The credits for the first plan will need to be used by MN on the day of check out from THAT resort (changeover day). With a little planning and making sure you use up the old credits first on the changeover day, you shouldn't have any problems.
