DDP and Appetizer question

Our upcoming October trip is the first time we will be trying out the DDP.

My question is about appetizers. I know they aren't included in the adult lunch/dinner, but they are included for kids? That just doesn't make any sense to me. Do the kids order an appetizer off the regular menu? I've never seen a special appetizer section on the kids menu (I do know they have to order from the kids menu when one is available).

Could someone clarify this for me? Thanks!

Many kid's menus at the TS places consist of 3 courses. The kids are entitled to all 3 courses on the dining plan.

I get it now - I guess I had just never paid close enough attention to the kids menus to notice they had had their own appetizers! Thanks!
