DDP 2008 Questions

I am planning 2 trips this year and had a few questions about the 2008 DDP. We have loved the DDP in previous years but now our family is growing and I have some concerns about things.

1. I know they have changed it to party of 6 for automatic gratuity but, does that mean 6 people eating or 6 sitting? I ask because we will be 5 adults with 2 infants (2 year old and 6 month old).

2. I don't know paying a tip for good service but, we have had horrible service that I would absolutely not pay a tip for (Mama Melrose). So if the tip is automatically put on your bill, would I really have to discuss with a manager why I shouldn't leave a tip?

The infants will count toward your party size, so your party will be charged the automatic gratuity.

Yes, if you have terrible service, you should ask for the manager and explain why you want the tip removed/reduced.

If you don't explain why you didn't pay it, it's possible they may bill you for it later. Besides, it's best that management knows you had a problem.

It is suppose to go by head count, not how many people are eating, thus grat will be added.
