DDE when you arrive??

We had difficulty booking DDE online with only a AP voucher. At this point if we call, the pass won't arrive in time for our June 10th arrival. Can we purchase the DDE when we arrive or does it have to be ahead of time?

You don't "book" DDE. The DDE is the Disney Dining Experience card, which gives you 20% off food and beverage for 13 months. To do that, you must purchase it by calling 407-566-5858 during normal business hours. When you call, they will ask for the numbers from your AP voucher. They may also tell you to wait a few days so you'll get an extra month out of the DDE card.

You can call upon arrival, except that the DDE office may not be open. If they're not, you are out of luck until the next workday. If your call happens to fall on the weekend, you could be without DDE for several days.

If you call before your trip, and won't receive your actual cards prior to your trip (it takes +/- 3 weeks to issue a card), they will make a letter verifying DDE status available at the Epcot Guest Relations office. That letter will be there whenever you are, so even if you arrive on a weekend, it will be there for pickup. You will have no worries using the letter -- millions of satisfied customers have done that!

We called that phone number on a Tuesday early afternoon and picked up the temporary card at 5:30 that evening at Epcot guest relations..couldnt have been easier or more efficient
