DDE info for December visitors

Yes, you can. You won't actually have the AP in hand until you pick it up at a ticket location at WDW, but you can use the voucher number for DDE.

just wondering....can the DDE be used at the kiosks serving liquor in World Showcase? Is the kiosk outside of Biergarten part of Biergarten, or some other garten? I know there is a list of restaurants accepting the DDE, but don't know if the outside bars are stand alone "establishments" or not?????

No, the DDE can not be used at the outside bars at WS, which is one reason why the Rose and Crown is crowded.
At UK, however, you can request a plastic mug to take your libation.

The DDE cutoff is the first Monday of each month, therefore if you order after that Monday date you get the thirteenth month on that DDE card and ordering before that Monday date the card will only be valid one year from the end of that month.

Right, it expires 13 months from the issue month, but there is a switchover date that gives you the assurance of getting the maximum time. Probably not important to most, but it was to us because of our scheduling...we're getting three trips on it instead of two.

Jim...this is a good tip that is worth repeating from time to time. We were in the exact same position this summer, trying to get three trips out of a DDE card and AP.

When we called for the DDE, we were advised to call back the next week to get the extra month.


I find it worth repeating because it is one of the few times I have called a service at WDW (other than MS) where they actually offered proactive advice instead of just "taking the order" and not offering tips as is the norm for other places.

I'm sure there's some logic there somewhere, but it escapes me. You'd think the Rose & Crown would want their seats taken up by people ordering meals -- much higher revenue than having someone hang out just drinking beer. (Not that that's a bad thing!)

I guess they figure making the DDE discount available for the outside places just wouldn't bring in any more business -- we'll buy our beer anyway.

I don't think so. I'm pretty sure it's either, or...not 20%+10% = 30%. Nice try, though.

With DDP, you need to tell the server ahead of time that certain things are going to be on DDE, because they have to do separate checks.

I ordered our DDE card on 10-4-06 with my AP voucher #. It hasn't arrived yet, and we will be leaving next Saturday .

Do you think I'll get the cards by then?? Should I call and ask???

Called and ordered our card this morning. The lady I talked to said they are taking about five to six weeks to arrive so she said she would automatically set up a temporary card for us to pick up at Epcot. Now, since I ordered today do you think ours will be good through november 2007 or just a year from today? Next years trip will be late october into early november.

According to the information I received when I called last Friday (11/3), orders placed Monday (11/6) or later would have a December 07 expiration.

Disney Dining Experience. It is a discount program that AP and Florida Residents can get. It costs between $60 and $85 depending on the type of purchase. You get 20% off of food and beverage (including alcohol) at almost all WDW table-service restaurants, except on holidays.
