I really like this card! It paid for itself by the 2nd evenings meal. I recommend to those who have AP's to get one. Now I couldn't use it for any NYE or NYD meals because these were blackout dates, but by then the card had saved me around $200 on meals.

Steve... glad to hear that you are pleased with your DDE... I agree it is the way to go if you have an AP.

I am wondering if we should wait until we get to the Guest Relations to pick it up.....or order it on the phone and have it shipped here ......what did you do

I would pick it up when I got there........why take a chance of having it mailed and it not get there in time or you leave home and forget it..

I'll be picking mine up in 4 days!:) There are 10 in my party, so it'll probably pay for itself with the 1st meal.

We will be picking ours up next Friday (OMG, is it that soon! Yippee! :cheer2: ). With a family of five, it will only take us 3-4 meals to recoup the cost.

i guess i'm behind....you can pick these up at guest relations? where exactly? i was planning in buying mine beforehand but if i can just pick it up after we arrive that might be better!

I forgot to mention that when I renewed our AP's at the parks Guest Relations spot, I got the DDE card then also.

You can purchase the DDE without ordering over the phone now. I bought the card at DTD on the first day of our visit so I could use it for dinner that night. They did make me upgrade my voucher to an annual pass. (I was not in the parks that day and would have preferred to upgrade the next morning.)

Guest relations is located inside and outside every park, as well as at DTD. APs and DDE cards cannot be purchased/activated in a resort.

thank you!

for those of you who have purchased DDE cards at guest relations since they've started allowing this, did it take long? i'd like to do it AK on our first day but i don't want to waste too much park time doing it since that's the only day we have alotted for AK during this trip.

It took all of about 5 minutes for the CM to set it up, take my money and give me the card.

So, if you have the AP, do you think the DDE card is a better value than the DDP? (can I fit anymore abbreviations in that sentence?:rotfl: )

Gotta love that DDE!! We just got back this afternoon and it was great. We do like signature dining :) If you have an AP, get one!

My husband and I are firm DDE Belivers! We pay for it in two days 1/2 the time or one good trip to the pub! :ccat:
