I'm thinking about getting the DDE card for our next trip. I've just looked on the passholders page and it doesn't look like the card can be used in the value resorts,(not on list). Can anyone help me solve the can they, can't they problem. We are staying at Pop. Pop and other value resort food courts were on, have they gone off as of Jan 06?
Thanks

Hello,

We bought the DDE card last year and my understanding is that any resort without a full service restaurant (ie All Stars & Pop for example) would have the food court instead counted. Basically food courts don't count normally but in the absence of a full service restaurant at a resort they become by "default" able to have the 20% applied.

Things may have changed of course but that is my understanding and definitely how it worked in August 2005.

We saved about $300 on our last trip by using our DDE card, but I must admit we were eating in the higher priced restaurants at WDW quite often. It is a great deal though:)

The food court at all the All Star Resorts were listed as included in September.

I purchased this last year and although we only used it in AK (you can use it at there counter service) we are going on Saturaday and whilst going through my paperwork I checked and you can use it at the food courts in the All Star Resorts as they do not have a restaurant (same as AK)

Just checked the paperwork I go for a card expiring 01/07, and it lists the all star food courts and also POFQ food court.
