DDE and Refillable Mugs?

We've used our DDE card for a discount on refillable mugs in the past when staying at the values and POFQ. Has anyone been able to do this recently or has this perk disappeared?

I think you may be able to do this at a moderate or value food court since the DDE is accepted there. I tried it at Captain Cook's at the Poly and was given a definitive "no".

No, the DDE discount is not good at CS restaurants in resorts with TS. (POR/POFQ is the exception.)

This is an interesting question. We will be at POFQ for one night and then moving to the Boardwalk. Since the mugs are now generic and can be used at each resort when doing a split stay, if we can use the DDE then we'll get them at POFQ the first night. Anyone recently back with more info?

actually, the reason why it's valid at POFQ specifically is because there is no TS location there. nor is there one at the value resorts, so it's good there. i do not believe it's valid at POR's food court. it's also good at CS locations in DAK as there are no full time TS locations there yet.

It was over our Spring Break, but things change....thus the question about the mugs.

We couldn't do this last month at Music - they said it was considered merchandise -so no discount - but I suppose it couldn't hurt to ask -

I was told the same thing at AS sports last month and also at POP this past December.

We were also told no to the mugs, we bought food and mugs and they gave us the discount on the food only.

We have bought mugs, with other food at both Pop and POFQ. They rang up the food with the DDE discount and the mug separately, no discount.

I had the same experience last month. I was told the mugs were considered merchandise, so no discount.

Same for me at POP...told me the mugs are not food.

On both our trips last year and the summer before we were not able to use our DDE on the refillable mugs.
