DDE and parking question.

We'll get out money back as soon as we treat the 9 members of our Magical Gathering in Feb to Chef Mickey's at dinner. Hubby and I will "practice" with it starting tomorrow!

I've never used Valet parking..how much shoud we tip if we use with our DDE card? Do we tip both ways? Thanks

Risy...ahhhh, so you are familiar with the place?

DMRick-Well, usually with valet parking you tip the person that brings your car. For some weird reason, at WDW we tip both ways but I do not think that is expected. I think I heard on these boards somewhere that the tips are not pooled so we feel we should tip both ways. DH gives $2 to each. But if we do not have any singles on our way into the restaurant, we do not feel bad forgoing a tip to the person taking the car. But we would not dream of stiffing the person who brings the car around to us.

Hope this gives you some idea. i am really into tipping when it comes to food service (never less that 20%) but when it comes to bellmen and valets I get a bit confused as to what the standard is.

Just got our Mickey monitor and the DDE has an article about it. It says (among other things) "Plus, resort valet and theme park parking is included for dining purposes!"
