DDE and Dinner Packages

Can you use the DDE card for dinner packages, such as Fantasmic or Candlelight Processional? I haven't seen any discussions or information on it. It appears that all the info on DDE explain that it isn't good for Holidays, but if a participating restaurant is part of a dinner package can it be used?

I have seen where some have used the card for their Fantasmic Pkg at MGM studios..(Hollywood Studios) but I have read that it is not allowed for that pkg or the Candlelight Processional ....

In August 2007 for a November 2007 trip, I was told that you could not use DDE when on the Fantasmic package. I was looking for Mama Melrose's specifically, and the WDW Dining CM said that it "is never good on these types of packages." That's just my experience!

This may seem like a stupid question, but what does DDE stand for? I know what the DDP is.

Disney Dining Experience. It is for FL residents and annual passholders.

The discount is not good for dining packages. (or not supposed to be anyway, but again, it is left up to the discretion of whoever is in charge at that time)
