Morning, Gents! Again, been a while but a lot has happened and I don't know where to being. I have to start somewhere, so I'll start with the bad. We almost lost my mom couple of weeks ago. She was found on the floor, and while she was somewhat conscious, she was starting to become unresponsive. My niece and her husband came in and found her and called 911. My brother called and said the doctors told him that his might be it. They got her into ICU and she pulled through. She's now out of the hospital and into a rehab facility getting stronger and gaining some weight. She's confused and losing her memory. My dad, while still somewhat healthy, is starting to have issues, so us three brothers are doing what we can from where we are. I had planned on heading out to New Mexico Labor Day weekend, but just as I was about to leave the house at 3am I got a text from Southwest Airlines informing me that my flight had been cancelled. Hate that. I now am heading out October 17th for about 3 days. I have to wait that long because I have a show that opens in under 2 weeks. This is a great segue into my next point: The show. I'm in a local production of Evita, opens on Sept. 25th. I have been consumed by rehearsals for this show, so I've not had time to do much of anything else. This is going to be a great show. When the tickets went on sales it sold out in one day. It was so popular that we added two shows, which also sold out. This is why I have to wait until Oct. 17th to fly out see my parents. That weekend is the sweet spot because my next show, Newsies, opens just over a month after Evita closes. Busy man. On to my last point: Work. I finally got promoted. I'll be a Surgical Coordinator for a Neurosurgery Office. I signed the acceptance letter 2 weeks ago but had to wait until Friday to announce it because the surgeons had to be told first. So after much waiting I have my new job. I'll start on Sept. 22nd. So excited. With that, I'm off to a 9 hour tech rehearsal. Have a good day, guys.
