DIS Dads DDC XXXIV: The Original Home Of The DISDads!!!

Dads of the DIS talk about life, bacon, Disney, bacon, kids, bacon, cars, bacon, family life, and lots of other fun stuff! And beer. And bacon.
Came home to another letter from the VA denying my claim, again, for my foot. I called, and am currently on hold, to figure out why when I have the letter approving my referral. The lady who's helping me, who's really nice, is on the phone to the billing dept./company they use to find out why.
Hope you get some answers. And ones in your favour.
So I gather Lost is worth it? Haven't seen it.
Don't know yet! Only seen 2 episodes!

Morning, Gents! The rest of the phone call with the VA went well, with awesome hold music, I might add, and was told that the problem is/was the lack of a referral number on the bill from the specialist I saw. This time, I was told, it should be approved. Though I will keep my fingers crossed as a just-in-case measure.

As for work, I did wind up going to my originally scheduled location, and had a great day. Love it when I have a great day like that.

Happy Monday. Had a really good day at work. I got the oncology floor solo, and was able to discharge over 10 patients and complete almost all new patient assessments.
Today was one of those great days for me.

That's great you had a great day! Love it when days like that happen.

And every job has that person who doesn't show up and work.

Right?! I hate people like that, but there's nothing you can do but wait for something to be done

That's awesome you had a great day.

I'm hoping Disney will scrap the park system, but I doubt it. This is a great way to track people, and deploy the labor force.

It is a great way to track people/crowed levels, but I don't think Disney will keep it. Well...I hope they don't.

Hope you get some answers. And ones in your favour.

Thanks, so do I. And I think it'll go my way this time...I feel confident.

Don't know yet! Only seen 2 episodes!

Let's me know, I'd be interested in hearing about it.

Look, she had an entire era named after her. What's a little serial killing compared to that???

This is a happy occasion! Let's not argue about who killed who...

So I gather Lost is worth it? Haven't seen it.

It all depends on whether you value the journey or the destination more.

And every job has that person who doesn't show up and work.

C'mon, I'm sitting right here.

Nothing could possibly go wrong this time!

Morning peeps.
Hoping to get the lawn mowed before the rain starts this afternoon. Since I'm up now... shouldn't be a problem. What may be a problem is the mower hasn't moved since last fall.

Good news! (Hopefully...)

So far so good. :)

Morning all.

Productive morning so far. Went to town for an oil change on DW Tuscon. Had the time wrong so I ended up with a 4Km walk while waiting. Picked up some soil for the flower beds, quick run to the grocery store and home with some coffee for DS and myself. Headed to FIL shortly to work on the second part of his deck.

Have a good one all.

So I gather Lost is worth it? Haven't seen it.

Me neither and given what is possibly one of the worst endings in TV history, so I've been told, I don't plan on investing the time.

Top O the Mornin Dads! Boy did coming back to work / the real world suck! Trip was great as the no masks outdoors change was nice and seemed to just pick up the spirits of guests and cast members. Heading back in 39 days with DD and hopefully SIL - will be a laid back trip for DD & DW with more pool and non-park time than usual for all.

Good see all are doing good - cheers!
Afternoon boys from a sunny London. Running and working pretty much all week. I tihink the family moggy, Mr Big is pretty much at the end of the road, so there might be a tough one way trip to the vets on the cards in the next couple of weeks. He's 18, so he's had a pretty good innings.
Sorry to hear, that's never easy.
I'm now in the rareified air of Mikey, with 3 confirmed Distrips in the schedule.
Down to 2 now but looking at dates for next May as 11 month window is around the corner

Well, as good as yesterday was, today was just as bad. I was behind before I even started. Still, I battled through the day and hopefully did some good work. Definitely time for a bourbon. Or two.

I read that about Disney, and I'm glad to hear no masks outdoors. I doubt there are any actual mask studies considering they are constantly handled, placed in pockets, placed on faces, etc. And, I'm hoping they will soon follow current recommendations on not wearing masks indoors for vaccinated patients. Still, it's a start in the right direction.

Evening, Gents! One guess where I wound up today? 😆 And the funny thing is, it wasn't because the usual person called out. Which made me feel better about heading over there this morning. It really did. Otherwise had a good day. Have tomorrow off as I'll be heading off Cape to Providence, R.I. for my doctor's appt. at the VA, so lots of time to listen to some podcasts, or an audio book. Music! I could listen to music. Oh who am I kidding...it'll be Disney related podcasts. :mickeyjum:tigger::goofy::dumbo::donald::smickey::eeyore::tink:

That's a tough one because each has it's pluses.

C'mon, I'm sitting right here.

No! Nothing.

Wake it up gently and give it some coffee. It'll come around.

Good news! (Hopefully...)

I'm not holding my breath, but it sounds good so far.

So far so good. :)

That's what I've heard as well.

I think you need a few days off to deal with the shock of having to go back to work.

That's awesome you had a great time. Can't wait to experience the thrill of being in the Da World.

I'm sure you did some good work, my friend. I wound up back in that same office where I've been 3x in the last 2 weeks, but not because of that one person being out sick. Somehow knowing that it was because the other person was out sick made me feel better about being back in that office.

Sorry to hear that. have one on me.

Had to give it a few extra pulls and a few extra priming pumps, but she started up eventually.

Afternoon chaps from a sunny London. So, the one way trip to the vets happened yesterday, so that was tough, and especially for the kids as they have never known a time when he wasn't around. Its the curly haired Ninjas birthday is over the weekend, so hopefully that will bring a welcome distraction.

I hear the start of April is great, all the cool people go then. Then I can teach you how to pick just one drink at a time.

Oh, that's deep, man. We may have to promote you to Galactic Salad Dodger and Philosophiser-in-Chief.

Yeah, lets not quibble over a few dead Victorians. They were probably rotters anyhoo.
For the past two weeks I start my Monday by being pulled from where I was supposed to go to a different location because someone at a certain location always calls out "sick."
Haven't they given you a FT job yet?

Have a good 'un fellas, may your pineapples be Extra Spiky.

I'm sorry you had to go through that. Hope the kind Lady Curly-Haired Ninja has a wonderful birthday.

My apologies. I'll try and load up some fart jokes as soon as possible.
