Afternoon, Gents! Just an afternoon check in for me. I got to talking to my supervisor today about the position and if I like it and would be willing to stay on. I of course said, "Yes, I would love to stay on." which is the truth. So she's going to make the arrangements to keep me on. She feels that with all the training I've gotten it'd be a shame to let me go. Quite honestly I agree. I mean, I went through a lot of training just to get to the point of being able to do the job. She also said there's really a need for another full time person in dept. I said, "I like the work, and would love to be able to come on full time, but barring that happening, I'll take all the temp work I can get." So while I indicated I'd love to stay on, I'd be happy with whatever I can get. So fingers crossed

Always try to remember to use those moments to see what your boss thinks...

Any areas where I could do better?
I'm interested in full time, what are your thoughts?

Also, try to think of ways to make your boss look good. If you do that, most will want to keep the ones that do.

No football this weekend as Mikey said, so the family will have the dubious privilege of my company tomorrow night. The Jeep failed its inspection yesterday as apparently I have a problem with my airbags. You know that's gonna come up on a Friday night call at some point. I have to take it back to the dealership, and there ain't too many jeep dealers around in the UK, it's no a common sight over here.
Just another thing to sort out.

Morning, Gents, from a very cold Cape Cod, currently 10F, but feels like -3F. Let the kitchen sink drip again last night, hate to do that and waste the water, but I'd rather do that than cleaning up a mess from a burst pipe. The Mrs. will be spending this weekend filling out the financial forms for our DD's private school this weekend, which is due Monday, so I get to keep my DD occupied all weekend and away from my DW while she works. This will prove interesting. Well, that's all I've got. Have a good weekend, Gents.

I'm really good at incorporating all these into conversations, and to some extent, all these did come up. The conversation I gave was the Cliff Notes version of the whole conversation, but touched on a lot of this stuff. I even threw out that I'd love to learn how to index more types of documents, to show that I want to learn, which I truly do....I hate skipping documents. So we touched on all this

Morning all. It's another cold day here, but at least it is above freezing this AM. DW bought some new shoes "Hoka", is the brand name. I kept asking if they came misspelled "hookah" and they came with cannabis. She wasn't amused.

Depends greatly on the woman. Some should not wear them at all and if they do, cover with a tshirt, burka, blanket or all of the above!!

Definitely agree on that one. If she can pull off the look, then no need to cover it up. I'm all for equality. Women should feel free to go topless in public as well.

There was a video on FB, not sure it was true, but it showed a High School classroom from the front watching a child birth video. The child birth video wasn't shown, just the student's reactions of terror, screams, and simulated vomiting.

Yeah I think they should stop making lycra over a certain size..... for public decency statutes

A bit cool here this morning but suppose to stay around the freezing mark for the next couple of days before a bit of a snow storm forecast for Tuesday. Did something last night that I haven't done in awhile, slept for the better part of 12 hours, felt pretty good actually.

Day off to a great start. I was running late leaving home, so really pushed the speed limit all the way to work. Leapt out of the car and hustled inside. Got here just in time!

Morning, Gents, from a chilly, but not frigid, Cape Cod. Apparently there's a nor'easter that's going blow through today, but according to the weather app Cape Cod is supposed to get a mix of rain and snow, so basically no real accumulation of snow....which suits me just fine. If it does accumulate, it won't be too much. Well, that's all I've got. Have a good day, gents, and we'll chat later.

Apparently there's a nor'easter that's going blow through today, but according to the weather app Cape Cod is supposed to get a mix of rain and snow, so basically no real accumulation of snow....which suits me just fine. If it does accumulate, it won't be too much.

I'm on the southern edge of it. It's always interesting how the weather patterns happen here. The Chesapeake & Delaware Canal cuts through the state about 1/3 of the way down, and often the storm effects are different on each side of it. I also lost count of how many storms don't run south of I-95. It's weird how the weather knows exactly where the interstate is.

With this storm, anything north of I-95 is getting dumped on with snow. My area is getting a mix of rain/sleet/snow.
