Morning from the Cape, gents! Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter and Passover. Sorry I missed the Zoom chat on Saturday, I was with the wife making a video for the Easter service for church, and it took longer than I thought. If anyone is interested in hearing me sing and my wife play the harp,
click here, our part of the service begins at 11:25, so you can skip the rest. I'm not 100% happy with that take, but that was take 13 at that point and my voice was getting a bit tired. I hadn't sung like that in a while now, so singing it 13 times in a row like that was like going from the couch to a 5K without any practicing. And that harp my wife is playing is 106 years old, and has played for the original Broadway production of South Pacific...love that instrument.
Well, things at work are ok and pretty much the same. Won't know if they are going to keep me until probably the last week, so pray I can stay past the end of the contract. Stringing along temp workers seems to be a thing with this company, so there's a good chance they're going to keep me. And it never rains but it always pours. I've been out of a permanent job now since Jan. of 2019, and with all this rain we've been getting we're finding leaks in our roof and now our water heater is leaking. I have a friend who's a plumber coming over to look at it today, so I'll know for sure if it is the hot water heater, but I'm 95% sure it is.
Well, Gents! Gotta run and start the day. Have a great day and we'll chat later.

If y'all are interested, we're on zoom now.
Wish I could have made it, but I was busy with the wife.
Morning chaps from a warm and cloudy London. Happy Easter to everyone, the kids wanted to full English this morning, we very rarely have it, so Sausage,Bacon, Egg, Home Made Hash Browns, Beans and Toast was had by all. Now the back room smells like a diner. Lady K is trying to combat it with candles. She's put so many on it looks like John Lennon was shot in our kitchen. It was fun chatting last night, and Mikey's ham looks particularly good.
That sounds like a wonderful meal.
Happy Easter guys, such as it is.
The one day of the year I can eat chocolate for breakfast and not feel so guilty about it.
You know, you don't have to limit yourself to just once a year for eating chocolate for breakfast.
High heels, suspendies and a bra?
Can't believe I'm saying this, but I'd like to see that.
Mmmmm man that looks good.
Morning, folks.
Snowed most of the night, so that kept me a little busy.
Went for a run with the kid yesterday. That's day 1 of week 3. Not getting easier and was limping for most of the rest of the day.
I'll keep at it, but... I'm not sure for how much longer. I'm determined to see it through, but then again, my old body might have other ideas.
If you have a gym near by, I'd switch to the eliptical cross trainer, easier on the knees and ankles.
We're supposed to have 70 mph wind gusts. Could be a long night.
I hope everything came out ok and that you didn't lose a tree. You know, being originally from New Mexico, I love a good storm. Nothing better than watching it rain or snow, but the wind! I HATE THE WIND. We had a tree fall through the roof back in 2007, right over the family room where I was sitting at the time, and ever since then I've been scared of the wind when I'm at the house.
