I and my wife live here, so PM me if you'll have the ability to text while here. I'll give you my phone number.

Since we live here, the must dos for us has been a lot less. For me, Tiffins with the ROL package is one of the best deals and best food on property. Keep in mind I haven't been to Shula's yet, so that could change. Dole whip at aloha aisle is a must do.

As for rides, I think a lot depends on the age of your kids.
MK - Peter Pan's Flight, Buzz light year, splash mountain good for all ages. For younger kids, haunted mansion, Big thunder mountain railroad and 7 dwarves mine train and space mountain, maybe not. For me personally, it's a horrible ear worm world (it's a small world) is a definite no, but younger kids seem to like it.

EPCOT - Test track is fun for all. Soarin, maybe, maybe not...depends on if any fear of heights. Figment is one of my favorites, although many consider it lame. Living with the land is more educational and a way to relax. Mission space can be problematic for anyone suffering from motion sickness. If you do this, do the green side first, then decide if you want to risk the orange side or not.

AK - Avatar, Flight of Passage seems to be good for all ages. Same for the Safari. Expedition everest...for younger kids, could be too intense. Must do here, for me, is Festival of the Lion King. In my opinion, best show on property.

HS - I would steer away from this since the crowds with SWGE opening up will likely be insane. On the other hand, it's possible other areas of the park might be low lines since everyone will be flocking there. As for must dos, I think it's rock'n rollercoaster and Tower of terror. Might not be for younger kids...your call.

Okay, well, none of this is Gospel, just my opinion.

Short work week! Going to Hershey, Pa on Friday to see Barenaked Ladies/Hootie and the Blowfish concert. Saturday - Hershey Chocolate World and Troegs Brewery tour. Sunday maybe Gettysburg. Gonna be a birthday weekend blast!!

I've seen BNL a couple of times, great show. Would love to see Hootie and the Blowfish.

Enjoy the show.

I'm a huge BNL fan. Can't even count the number of times I've seen them. They are the reason I'm going. They are fantastic live. Hootie is a bonus.

You don't get to see Hootie with the Blowfish much anymore.

Last time I saw BNL was in a casino and some dumb woman behind us kept screaming Big Bang.

We've seen Steven Page a couple times as well. Once as a solo show and once as part of the Trans-Canada Highwaymen. http://exclaim.ca/music/article/chr...is_new_supergroup_the_trans-canada_highwaymen

I saw Steve in Ithaca in October. First time I've seen him solo and it was a great show. Would be nice to see him with a full band and not just the Trio.

What did you think of the announcements? I think the new attractions could be a lot of fun, and I'm interested to see what Epcot looks like when all is said and done. But I am sad about Future World going away forever. It blew me away as a kid and was the reason I fell in love with Epcot in the first place.
I’m happy to see Epcot getting some attention. It’s really lost it’s place over the last few years. I am actually ok with losing Future World. It’s so hard to keep up with that kind of theme. I just hope the new areas really do get a cohesive theme. The Mary Poppins ride is interesting and past due since it was in the original plans. I still haven’t figured out where the Moana attraction is going. I was thinking Imagination was getting an overhaul but maybe not. I was a bit surprised that no new pavilion was announced since Brazil has been rumoured for a couple years now.

The Trans-Canada Highwaymen are pretty cool. The band members are guys from 4 different bands and they typically play the hits from those bands with each guy singing their bands songs. They are here at a festival in a couple of weeks but we won't get to see them this year. We are getting to see DAvid Wilcox at one of the Friday night shows and then I volunteer on Saturday in the main festival tent, Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats is the headliner.

Top O the Mornin Dads! Another couple of days and then some R&R with some good friends in Dauphin Island for a few days over the long weekend.
BLT has the best view thus far, except I haven't stayed at GF.
I did like the view at night from BLT but can get that with TOTWL without staying there. There was just something really relaxing and cool with the Poly view.

Have a nice weekend and Happy Birthday to you

And it's Tuesday. Survived the drive in the rain yesterday. Looking forward to Pickleball tonight.

We stayed at the Poly about 12 years ago and this was the view from our balcony.

That is a nice view. I'm points cheap, so I go for standard view. Here was the BLT view at the elevator. I have Cinderella's castle and the monorail in the shot. The ring tone on my phone is the monorail warning. I got to see the Magic Kingdom every day.

Hopefully, your FP and ADRs are made. Narrow it down some and I'll give you my $.02.

Sounds fun. Have a great trip. Happy birthday.

I look forward to something new, but at what cost. The changes to Soarin are dreadful, and it has made it un-rideable. The Living with the Land ride is one of my favorites and I hope it doesn't change. The Maelstrom to Frozen changes were great. I just wish they would add a new ride instead of refurbing an old one.

But imagine that view all the time. I've always wanted to stay at the Contemporary Resort, and BLT will have to do. I agree that the Poly is relaxing, but the view of the Castle, monorail, water bridge, etc just makes it that more magical for me. If you're looking for an extra nice gift for me, a 150 point contract at BLT would be nice.

Let's just say that no matter where your at, BWV, AKL, the monorail resorts and even the All Stars, the views are all great and better than what most of us see each morning and before we call it a night. Can't help ya with the points my friend, added on to ours this summer.

Here's the list.
  • What should we NOT MISS?
  • What cool neat inside secrets can you pass along for those extra magic moments? DD10 loves hidden mickeys, secret interactive things (Sorcerers of the MK) and so I am hoping we can tap in to those types of magic moments. Galaxy's Edge should have a lot of those.
  • Which interactive ride queues are great?
  • Any great restaurants we should make sure we try - even without Priority Seating?
  • Any great drinks we should not miss trying? DW and I do enjoy a cocktail or two and/or a nice glass of wine. I also like the Craft Beer and whisky (Scotch, Bourbon, etc.)
  • Any tips on cool things to see at CBR?
  • Any ways to incorporate science, history, or other learning at WDW (kids will be out of school for 4 total days).
  • Any tips for Universal? I have not been there since 1992. I am at a huge experience disadvantage.
You have a good list. FoP may be worth the wait if you want to do the stand by line.

If you haven't had the St. Bernardus Abt 12, it is a great beer. But, it would be cheaper at your local store. DW and I love the Lapu Lapu - a mai tai served in a pineapple - served at Tambu Lounge and Kona. Kona coffee press pot was good as well. CJ, myself, and several others are partial to the Bellevue Lounge at Boardwalk. May not be the most fun for the kids though.

Restaurants -
Steak - Shulas, Yachtsman, Turf Club
Seafood - Flying Fish, Boathouse, Coral Reef
All around special - Jiko, Cali Grill, Brown Derby, Via Napoli for pizza

We have done the Behind the Seeds tour, a walking tour at the Living with the Land. It is one of my favorite rides, and I really enjoy the agriculture and aquaculture lessons.

I get what you are saying. I like the clown pool at BWV and the Boardwalk view is fun. Still, it is nothing like BLT.

Sorry I can't help with most of those, but for education animal kingdom rafikkis planet watch is a great place, it has been closed a while but supposed to be reopened this summer. My girls love it (13 and 6 at the time) They spent 30 solid minutes with one of the animal handlers doing and pet and learn with ferrets.
Also Epcot still has native people from each country where they can learn language and culture differences.
