DIS Dads DDC XXXIV: The Original Home Of The DISDads!!!

Dads of the DIS talk about life, bacon, Disney, bacon, kids, bacon, cars, bacon, family life, and lots of other fun stuff! And beer. And bacon.
Evening everyone....back to work after four days off, nobody did my work while I was gone so had a busy day. :(

She's most excited about the Princess scene of course, although I have heard it's pretty short so I'm trying keep her expectations in check.

That was Zara's favorite part of the movie.

Anyway, she was offered a part time job at the Hallmark store and her first day was Saturday.

Congrats, everything helps these days.

It's great when the government just randomly gives out money that you didn't ask for,

Money from the Government is the best. :cool1:

We ended up on the wrong side of the street for both girls,

50/50 shot at it...wrong side...Murphy's Law

Nice day here so far but some snow forecast for tomorrow, I guess we will see if it materializes.

We have rain snow mix or as I like to call it snain, for tomorrow, makes a crappy commute.

My youngest is on her first out of town basketball game, riding the team bus. She's not getting much playing time, but she's not fast enough to run with the smaller lineup and not dominating enough in the post to get them to slow down. Still, she likes her team and it's good conditioning for tennis next season.

Hope you feel better before the drive starts.

Better. Still coughing. Thanks.

So I was home with the girls Saturday while she worked, which was pretty weird for me. So I spent most of the day going to the grocery store, doing laundry and vacuuming. Fun stuff.

So, also Friday afternoon, our oldest daughter (my step-daughter if you want to get technical) got a letter from our provincial government saying she had received an Electoral District scholarship, which she didn't even know about. It's great when the government just randomly gives out money that you didn't ask for, but we happily accepted.

.

Lots of congratulations to go around to all the girls in your life. Bravo.

Hope you're feeling better Norm, sucks being sick but especially for a holiday. You will have to make up on the food and beverage intake for Christmas.
.

I'm upping the bourbon intake tonight. I'll feel better soon.

Is your middle name Murphy?

I usually never get sick. It must be the Eagles fault somehow.

Good to hear she's enjoy the team, hope she sees more floor time as the season progresses.

Great to hear she is enjoying and hopefully the playing time will increase. Better to be playing hoops than chasing boys.

That a boy, that's our Norm

'Morning all...
From reading back it seems like most of ya' enjoyed the holiday.
Discounting illness some nasty weather and and a few less than stellar ball games, of course.
May everyone heal up and stay that way for a while.

I got through the holidays without gaining any weight (which is a definite win).
Now I just need to stay out of all the leftovers.
We'll see how that goes...

I gained 2 pounds and we don’t even celebrate it as a nation. How the frickin hell did that happen?

She'll get Freshmen team playing time, probably most of the game. The coach is having the Freshman also travel with JV/ Varsity, which is just too many players.

140 miles daily????

::yes:: Thankfully, I get reimbursed mileage and only have to do that one week a month.

All I can think of when I hear that is...

Agreed. Always wanted them to be in sports as it teaches a life lessons.

Snow day here today. I decided not to take the chance, now I'm just waiting for the "storm".

Snow here during the morning commute. Keep that door closed up there.

Glad to hear it was a success, and good luck with avoiding the leftovers.

In the cab, heading to the airport. Couldn’t check in online. Guess I’ll find out what the problem is when I get there.

Morning.

Hunker down. Shovel at the ready.

How is this possible??
Guide us oh wise one.

I’d say there’s no way... but you’ve already proven your superhuman ways.

Hope it's not too bad for you. It's supposed to stay rain here. Fingers crossed.

There's always room for leftovers....

I think there same thing happened to me. Must be holiday sympathy weight or something.

Morning boys from a soggy London. Picked up Lady K's birthday present this morning, fixed the shower, been for a run, so all in all not too shabby. Gonna give this Keto thing a go, so Parma ham and an egg for lunch. I may just buy a couple of cows and a few chickens, that should get me through. Hopefully 20 pounds will come off, as the physio cleared me for everything apart from jumping and running in the dark (because of pothole potential), so the exercise regime is now back to almost pre-injury levels. Seems to be holding OK thus far, but its only been just under a week.

Same sh!t, different pile?
::yes:: I often find that those with the most to say have the least amount to input.

:thumbsup2. I like this. So technically its the American guys fault, right?
Guess I’ll find out what the problem is when I get there.
Was it 4 stewardesses to personally thank you for keeping the planes in the air? I think its the least they could do. On a monthly basis.

Have a good day chaps, may your dole whip be never ending.
