Rare breed! Engineering huh... Wish i had known that years ago.. of course when i was in Engineering school, you could count the number of females in your class without any hands.. ZERO!

Evening all. Another long day of traveling, overnight this time for a waste of time meeting. I did go enjoy some Sam Adams Oktoberfest Draft per diem dinner.

Fair dos. It must be nice to see the kids enjoy it. I remember we took my Mum the other year and she was in floods of tears for the most part watching the young uns with the characters.

Fall must be close by, everyone is back in school and I moved away from the summer dress code at the office. Decided that if it is time to dress up a bit more I need to rock some new Disney socks.

Follow up with doc went well all major stuff ruled out and based on tests heart, liver, kidneys all good.

You speak the truth. I have NO idea how Doc would eat over there. There's carbs in everything.

Consumed copious amounts of alcohol and accomplished nothing
(apart from winning at trivia one evening and having that pay for dinner and booze).
so, yeah, I'll call that an acceptable bit of vacationing.

Sat on my butt and went to Red Lobster for all you can eat shrimp courtesy FIL for anniversary dinner. Winning.

See, now all I can think of is the Simpsons episode where Homer sues the "all you can eat" fish restaurant.

Beer always tastes better when someone else is paying. The first 4 years of work I was pretty much always on the road. That got dull real fast.

Weirdly, the kids are making me watch HP at the minute. The bit where he flies over the Thames with Moody et al, they are flying west past Canary Wharf, as they then go over Tower bridge and then the Millennium bridge.. Which means that basically, Hogwarts is about 10 minutes from my house. Who knew?

I do like the look of a school uniform. None of the public schools here do that, just a couple "out of my budget" private schools.

Almost all schools in our area have uniforms. Its a great leveller, and saves a ton of grief in the morning

The place was about 75-80% male when I was there. The general comment from the women was, "The odds are good but the goods are odd."

Turns out today was a meeting to pitch for my job. Good thing i didn't blow it off and actually had something prepared. There wasn't a timetable, so maybe it's just a ranking when the money runs out.

I don't believe such a creature exists.

I married one. The only bad part about our marriage is she encourages me to eat pizza and drink beer, because she too enjoys eating pizza and drinking beer. I want to do Victoria & Albert's for dinner one year. She'd prefer ESPN cafe. Adds to my waistline, but I'm happy.

I promise to buy you a dole who next year. Once I work out what it is.

Happy Labour Day all, may your labours today be light.

My SIL beat us all. She started labour around 11:30 am, although she did not give birth till 1am next day, that beat the 8hrs I worked that day. We welcomed a baby boy named Luke (Star Wars land is going to be fun) . My wife and I are once again the Godparents.
