Saw a news story yesterday that showed a Chicago fire boat shooting water on the Michigan Ave. Bridge because it was so hot the metal expanded to where they couldn't open the bridge.

I meant to try spatchcock chicken on the BBQ last night (yes, that’s a thing I only recently learned about), but had a few rain showers so family decided to go see Incredibles 2 and then Canada Day fireworks after. A really nice evening and we enjoyed the movie.
Anyway the good news is that the chicken has now been brining for 24 hours and I’ll be grilling it for lunch on this holiday Monday. Hopefully it’s worth the wait.

That long brine will make it worth it. I've not done one on the grill, but it sounds great.

Doozy or not, even that is overshadowed by the harm we inflicted on humanity with the whole Jenner/Kardashian/West cohort...

I don't have any type of cable subscription. If there is a way to get those channels, let me know. The one thing I miss is not having enough sports to watch.

Top O the Mornin Dads! Stupid hot and humid around here past few days and still today. Got into the office at stupid o'clock this morning to get a couple days worth of work done in one day. Team member came in yesterday to get a head start on month end reporting requirements and I did a bit from home yesterday. After today I am out of here for the next couple of weeks, will do my best to post but likely will be at the other place as it is easier from my phone. Cheers and have a good week gents!

And in today's crybaby challenge, Governor Thanos lost his other Federal Court case, requiring Medicaid recipients to work to receive Medicaid. I'm not sure how you force someone with a disability to work, especially if they have a 50 IQ and no physical functioning ability. So, since he lost his case, he has now removed the vision and dental benefits of Medicaid, which will just force more lawsuits. And, because my wife works tangentially with that population, the dental benefit was pulling teeth.

Nope, definitely not the only one. Although there are some things about google (tracking everything) I don't like, I like apple even less. I want to be able to put music on an SD card and put it in my phone and not be handcuffed to itunes to do ANYTHING. I also hate when they force me to update when there's absolutely NOTHING wrong with the version of the OS I'm using and when I'm forced to, suddenly my phone is slower than dirt when it worked fine before.

I've made crappy money (when I was in the Air Force) and I've made good money. I've never made *insane* money, but I've realized you just have different problems regardless of the salary. I don't think any amount of money will alleviate the stress of dealing with idiots.
