DIS Dads DDC XXXIV: The Original Home Of The DISDads!!!

Dads of the DIS talk about life, bacon, Disney, bacon, kids, bacon, cars, bacon, family life, and lots of other fun stuff! And beer. And bacon.
On a different note.
I'm half way to my goal for weight loss.
As of this morning, I've lost 50 lbs.
I've got a long way to go and a short time to get there. ;) Actually, in 3 weeks we get to Disney and I will NOT be on my diet there.

Wow, that's great work! Congratulations!

From what I understand, they are building stand alone clubs in the parks. Len Testa posted on Twitter what he believed is the MK one in Adventureland.

Ah, yes. That's the "You'll Never Set Foot In Here" Club.

Thanks! I did a LOT of research on it before I started it. I'm pretty sure I mentioned it here before, but what makes it different for me is since I get to eat oils, what I'm eating TASTES good and not feeling like I'm depriving myself.

That's been my problem. I can't stick to a diet because I like things that taste good too much.

Yes how can you drink Pepsi?

Because it's way better than coke.
I live in Atlanta, so my choice of cola is constantly under attack, but that's okay, I'm used to tons of people being wrong.
:lmao:

Yeah, not a fan of Pepsi.

Wrong. Coca-Cola is the only non- alcoholic drink that's worth it, or worthy of mixing alcohol with.

I never understood the deep-seated feelings on either side. It's fizzy brown sugar water that will rot your teeth, make you gain weight, and shorten your life. I'll take as much as I can get!:woohoo:

Lol. I'm not partial to any drink, as long as it's full of sugar, corn syrup, I'm in.

That's about where I am.

*this poster meant to type "Life of Brian is inferior to Holy Grail"

*inferior is an autocorrect of “infinitely better” - the board apologises for such an aggregious mistake

The board apologizes for the error of the above quoted member and wishes there was a way to autocorrect him.

:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

The person in charge of autocorrect has been sacked.

Wasn't there something about llamas being hired to replace those who were sacked?

Darn, you guys beat me to the punch on this one.

Welcome to Monday All!
I don't really have anything else at this time

Morning sunshine. Been back round my mums finishing off the install, all done. Run 10k in 54min after dropping the young 'ins off at school, so well pleased with that. Now chillin' until I have to pick the kids up in a couple of hours. I may or may not have a tangerine. That is all.

Look at you go!

Look at you go!

Once there was a snail who was tired of being slow. He went out and bought a really fast sports car and had the dealer paint a big 'S' on each side of it.

Whenever someone saw him zooming past in his new car, they would say, "Hey, look at that S-car go!"

Afternoon guys, only things I have is we are less than 2 weeks from DaWorld! Heading out this weekend to hang with the boy during SB weekend so have a 4 day weekend to look forward to. Other than that, it's Monday and a long way off from Dan calling it.

The AMOOSEing photo is one that I like.

Anything related to Monty Python, especially getting sacked and being replaced by llamas is also amusing.

Hey man, welcome back. Condolences on the beer. Good luck with the plan. What are you doing for exercise?

I'm doing to strength training / free weights. It's in my basement. I'm not a "Johnny Ripplepecks" gym rat, and don't want to get there. I'm just looking to add strength so I can always win a fight against my 14 year old.

Happy Monday. I thought it was Tuesday most of the day. Not a good start to the week.

Norm, 1st day we are hitting Epcot, HS & MK with a possible Dis Springs. 2nd day is AK, anything we didn't finish in HS or Epcot then MK till Midnight. I do have the days detailed out in my little notebook:rolleyes1 but I won't bore everyone with every detail:rotfl2:

I have a few must do's this trip they are:confused3

1. Circle of Life in Epcot

2. All the put yourself in paintings at Epcot's Art
Festival

3. Timon Meet and Greet in AK

4. Nemo The Musical in AK

5 Hit all my favorite drink spots:drinking1:thumbsup2

You're still doing those planning guides. We've just been sort of winging it, especially with new FP+ strategy. The reason I asked was we've been debating skipping DHS until all the construction is done, and just walk over in front for the Star Wars fireworks from BWV.

RON!!! I don’t know how you do it!! You have any March or September trips planned?

I don't know how he still uses a notebook. Pen and paper? C'mon man.

Monday is always my best run for some reason. Maybe its because I leave Saturday free and light run on Sunday.

No day is a good day for a run. I usually say things like "I came here to play tennis, not run or exercise". :lmao:

Hope you make it out before any bad weather. We are forecasted for more snow & ice Thursday. I'm going out tomorrow to be prepared to make French toast over the weekend.

Norm , If you have PH's The way I like to do DHS is go on a Morning EMH, to make it go real smooth you want to be right at the front of the rope drop, head to TSM keep up a good pace since more then half the people behind you are also heading to TSM, after TSM go to RnR then TT, ST then Launch Bay. No FP's needed and you can head to next park by 10-10:30. Then just come back for the fireworks, it is much better if you are watching the show that goes with it.

If you do not have PH's you might want to skip DHS, since it is lacking attractions until the expansion.

I don't want to rely on artificial intel, when I can figure it out myself (got to stay sharp), plus there are soooo many Magicial opportunities to do listed in it that if the timing is right I can make a little magic happen that nobody knew about :rolleyes1

Wow now how did I manage to respond inside the quote:crazy2::eek::lmao::rotfl2:

Morning boys from a sunny but frosty London.

I'll call it right now for ya mate if you like.....enjoy your countdown. We are at 57.

This has inspired me to go and get a collapsible bench, as that's all we have room for.
Dave, Nothing in March or Sept, but I will be arriving on April 1st - 5th, if your stay extends into April:confused3
Miss you by 4 days, we check into the Poly on the 9th.

Have a great day chaps.
