Good Morning Men! Well, at least it's not Monday. One day closer to the weekend.

Posted on facebook, but will post here as well. DD pitched a full game 4-0 shut out last night in softball. Gave up only 2 hits with 7 strike outs and only 2 walks. A pretty good outing against a strong team. Of course the opposing coaches daughter pitched for the other team. I was told how great she was (by her father, the coach). She pitches faster and better than everyone else, has to stand up in the batters box because my daughter does not pitch fast enough. Well, she went 1-4 with 3 K's so I had to laugh a little at the end.

Awards ceremony yesterday, graduation today. A long weekend but it is now over. Having a bourbon and ginger ale and kicking back before the final packing and the long trek home starting tomorrow. Plan is to leave early afternoon, drive through the night, stop where we want the next morning and then to Auntie's house for a day.

There is no other way other than a couple of hundred mile detour to get around those bridges. Trust me, I looked.

Congratulations again on getting through the college years. I'm not looking forward to it financially. A job well done by you both.

You can always see if there is a Ferry to carry you across the waterways.:rotfl2::lmao::rotfl2: I used to snowmobile across a some pretty scary bypasses in the mountains where there was barely enough width for the snowmobile and 200 foot drops. Basically wooden suspension bridges you don't want to stop on. I figure if I survived that, a bridge over water is no big deal for us.

Morning Men.

:wave2: from south of the border. Well, not that border. :lmao::lmao:

Well done!

Morning all. Election Day here, which means another opportunity to vote for someone who promises everyone free unicorns. I voted but not realm sure why I bothered. None of these people represents my interests.

The win is good, but taking down the bragging douche bag coach is way better.

I saw my daughter dabbing on the tennis court. I told her to wait until she wins a tournament before she starts showboating.

Funny. I'm not sure he would understand the point.

Elections here as well today. We have a couple that seem to want to do the right thing. I'm sure they'll lose, but will vote for them anyway. We have the small town politics here and too many older people that still think we live in the 50's and should stay that way.

Last week DD asked if she was pitching. I said no. Her response was....Well, I guess you don't want to win today.:headache::faint: I like her confidence and competitiveness, but we had to have a long sit down about that thinking. Of course she's not completely wrong, but there's always someone better somewhere and others need an opportunity to develop. For reference, she is 3-1 as a starting pitcher this season. The others are 0-3 combined. And the game we lost, she fielded the ball that would have ended the game and made the play to first. The girl missed the ball, the other team scored 2 runs and we lost by 1. Try arguing her point when clearly you have no standing.:confused3:confused3 I think I made her understand she needs to support her team and help her teammates get better if she wants to continue to succeed.

Way to go Pirate Princess. congrats to the proud dad as well

Early congrats to DS. Just how much earlier do girls get it out of their system?
I think that is just a myth. My wife is 30 something and still hasn't grown out of it. I have no hope for DD's

Way to sling it. Congrats.

Nice job by DD!

Have her play against her team by herself. Unless she pitches a no hitter everytime and can hit a home run at every bat, she needs a team.

That's not good news.

Morning all. How is everyone doing today? It is actually sunny in Ohio today, well it's not raining...much anyway... :)

Top O the Mornin Dads! Past the half way point for me this week as I am off Friday. Have a good one.

Morning gents.
I GOT A DAY OFF!
Scheduled for two more... but I ain't counting those chickens yet.

So... what am I doing on my day off? Sitting on the porch with a glass of lemonade with my feet up and a good book?

Almost! Carrying back breakingly heavy crap up from the basement. Mitre saw, hose reel, sump pump, tools, pool chemicals....

I think I'd rather be at work.

You would think with lousy weather my work load would ease but no such luck. I was strongly encouraged to expand my hops research. I can get funding for projects, but how about somebody give me money for people! :headache:

Woohoo!! She did it! VERY well I might add! Hope you had a good trip back home.

Good Morning Guys. Well....we've reached the middle of the week again. Hope all is well.

Woo-hoo! Day off!

Sounds like my days off. I need to rest up after when I get back in the office.:rotfl2::rotfl2:

I think we may have watched the Bug Bunny baseball cartoon a little too often. :lmao::lmao:

I won't get into the details, but last night we looked like the Bad News Bears after an all night bender. It wasn't pretty. Good thing there's a max of 6 runs per inning. Final score a 17-10 loss and there was no beer on the bench for me to drink. We actually had a girl run off the field when the ball was hit to her. Still not really sure where she was going.:confused3

Oh my. That's very strange, indeed! Maybe the sun was in her eyes? Sorry to hear about the loss.

Our Monday night city league double header ended much worse than that. At the top of the last inning I ended up taking out our shortstop when we collided trying to field a fly to left center. I called it... he didn't listen... blammo. My shin caught the side of his left knee and he went down hard. He ended up leaving on a golf cart to the hospital. We lost first game by 1 run. Second game I believe the final was 24 - 2... we lost. Heads just weren't into it after the injury.

Re-read that last line.

No, you wouldn't.

Take it easy on that back.

Yikes! DS's team had a similar ugly game this week. We had a game Monday and lost 14-0. We play 3 innings and one player was pretty much single handedly responsible for 8 of the 9 outs. He was playing first base... jumping to catch balls, laying out to catch them and still keeping his toe on the bag, coming off the bag to catch the ball and tag the runner coming down the line. I mean this kid could not only catch the ball, he knew the skills needed to play 1B. With 4, 5, 6 year olds, most teams are just looking for that one kid who isn't afraid of the ball and will at least knock it down, then pick it up and try to get the out before the runner makes it there. We play a couple of kids there that catch one every once in a while and I thought we were in great shape. Like you said, there's always someone else who's better...

The worst part though was that the coaches moved him to SS for the third inning. We got 3 runners on base and were feeling pretty good about erasing that 0. Then we had a line out to short for a double play followed by another line out. I swear that we were playing with a steel ball and he had magnets in his glove.

I hear you! Every day I'm not working at the office, I'm just working at home. Sooo many home projects that need to get done.

Happy Wednesday. My phone battery decides to quit work early, so I thought I would follow. Went to a place and they have to order me a battery. So, I get to walk around with my cell phone charger the next few days. :sad1:

Finally stopped raining, yet too soggy to cut the weeds. I'll get to it tomorrow or Friday.

Just say no to hard work.

You could hire me. I won't drive the 6 hours over to you to work, but I'll do a good job otherwise. :lmao:

Just trying to get the teaching point home. Even Jordan needed a team.

That sounds bad - losing and the injury.

Did you check his driver's license? :lmao:

Sorry, that one doesn't get old for me.

Just say no to projects. I set the bar low before we were married on doing projects. Thus, I have escaped most of them.
