Good afternoon from the Garden State. Was able to take a snooze before the sun came up so feel OK now. Left the boxes off and we had breakfast together. Last time I saw her was when I dropped her at the airport marathon weekend. She is with BF's family for the rest of the day so nothing left to do today. Expect you all to show up tomorrow to help with the move.
Welcome back to the east coast. Have fun packing. Congrats again to President Crash.
I'll tell her although the only thing I think she may be President of is the Sierra Club.
You could always come hang out in Delaware instead...
Once again I crossed the Delaware Memorial Bridge and lived to tell about it. Also the bridge before you get to Delaware. You know the one, it has the warning sign right before you cross "High Winds could cause your car to be blown off the bridge and plunge you to your death in the 1,000 foot gorge" It is also the one with a 2 foot high guardrail that wouldn't stop a soap box derby racer going 5 mph.
Delaware does have an outstanding visitors center though.
For those new to this, I have a thing about bridges. Completely rational since they do fall down all the time. Two of my top three most hated bridges are on the drive from Miami to NJ, the one in Jacksonville and the double hit in Delaware.
What I am researching is the Disney springs hotels, as they look very affordable, have shuttles to the parks, or we could use Uber if we don't want to wait. Anyone stayed at one of them before?
Travel day I sometimes stay at one of the Springs' hotels. They are affordable and nice hotels. Never took the busses but I have heard they can be an issue. Since your wife is a teacher you may want to check out Swan/Dolphin. They sometimes have discounts for teachers, first responders... Worth a shot and you get Disney perks. Not sure about ME though.
Welcome to Friday! last day of sun here before a weekend of rain.
Enjoy your time in NJ. (Has anyone said that before?)
Pulling into NJ yesterday is was sunny and 80 degrees. Today rainy and chilly. Graduation morning it is supposed to be in the 40's. Oh Goody.
After tomorrow things should be fun (except the weather). One of her Professors wants to go out to breakfast on Sunday, then there is the President's reception on the Green. The afternoon is the awards ceremony where she gets her cum laud tassel. Going to dinner with her roommate and her parents. Finally, graduation on Monday. The bad thing is Auntie comes into town on Sunday.
Good to hear you made it safe and good luck with the packing. Commissioned, as in military?
He is commissioned 2nd Lt. in the Army Reserve.
Glad to hear you made it there ok. Sorry to hear you had trouble getting some sleep. Good luck with all the packing. Wonder how many things get left on the curb after parents come pick their kids up? lol.
Thanks Don. I imagine a lot. If it was up to me, a lot of her stuff would be on the curb.
