Evening all,

Not a bad day - 6 hours of driving for 6 hours of volleyball but the boys won a gold medal. They all played well in a tournament that they were much better than all the teams there, hopefully some tougher competition next weekend.

No point in that as I have to go the the next set of inlaws today. We have double the holidays with DW's divorced parents who still try to cause problems and compete for time. We just visit my parents weeks before or after holiday events.

Met the folks at church, then followed them to a restaurant for brunch.
I ate:
Mushroom soup
Mac salad
Cuke salad
Coleslaw
Wienerschnitzel (with mushroom gravy)
Ham
Sausage
Meatballs
Perogy
Pan fried spuds
And for dessert:
Apple strudel
Cheesecake
Raspberry tart
Strawberry puff tart
Mixed fruit.

Oh, Lord. I'm a tad.... full.
Do not touch my stomach.

If NC and Oklahoma win, then my final 2 will be correct. It was blind luck that I might have picked the final two right. Looks like I am still pretty far down on that list... The very last one on that screenshot, I named my bracket the Modest - Mick's Marvelous Bracket.

I fell quickly towards the bottom this week, thank God there is still a few guys down there to break my fall.

I think that is NC and Oklahoma win, then I win the bracket. If Syracuse and Villanova win then SW wins. If one from each of our picks wins, then I guess it matters if we matched up the final victor. So in my case NC and in sw's case Syracuse.
I guess it could come down to the wire if Syracuse faces NC in the finals, then it would be down to that game for the two of us.

I only picked NC because I thought Tar Heels was a funny name for a mascot, so I am not exactly a wealth of information when it comes to college basketball.

I don't follow it like I did years ago. One and done has taken most of the fun out of watching a group of guys develop over time and improve. Now it is really who can recruit the best team for the year. I pick SU to win and Duke to go out by the second round every year. The rest of the bracket is based on a mixture of wishful thinking and wild guesses.
