DIS Dads DDC XXXIV: The Original Home Of The DISDads!!!

Dads of the DIS talk about life, bacon, Disney, bacon, kids, bacon, cars, bacon, family life, and lots of other fun stuff! And beer. And bacon.
Let me know the room number and I'll stop by. You are serving adult beverages right? Have a blast!
If all goes as planned, they will text me the room number before I even get on the plane, we'll land, take magical express to the resort and go right to the room. If we're not around when you get there, I'll leave a key under the mat. Help yourself to anything in the fridge.

Have a great trip. Driving or flying this time?
Flying. Quick 5 day trip celebrating Ryder's 3rd birthday.

Guess what? It snowed here again last night and today is another day of school closures, second one this week.
Sorry to hear that, Darcy. We had a bunch of 50+ degree weather and sunshine last week so the vast majority of our snow is gone. Just a few small, dirty piles left in the shady spots.

I think I'll wait until after you do a grocery run. Text me after the beer is cold. Can't believe Ryder is 3, what are you going to do to celebrate?

Um....we're going to Disney World.

Specifically, we're going to Magic Kingdom on his birthday, dinner at Chef Mickey's and Wishes either from the Top of the World Lounge or Poly Beach. Dinner is at 7, Wishes starts at 9. I don't think we'll have enough time to get back into the park and find any type of decent viewing area after dinner.

Well, that didn't work long...

Well, so much for accuracy on the Web. We had an incident here on post where two technicians were injured when a submunition they were working on went off. While serious, the injuries are not life threatening. One of my coworkers got a call from a relative in Tallahassee saying that the claims are now 5 dead, multiple buildings blown down or on fire, massive chaos. If IT means Information Technology, it would be nice if the information was actually informative.

Have a great trip. We like watching Wishes from TOWL, but the view is definitely different being so far offset to the side. But it's a great view of the whole monorail loop.

A long week. Been on antibiotics and steroids for a sinus infection. Really suck when you are sick and eight straight 10 hour days. Way too much work for me. But, for the good news, there is a faculty position and I meet the minimum qualifications. If I get it, it is more money and even more time off in the summer.

So what your saying is that Manning just isn't that good?:confused3
:lmao::lmao:

I'm not a qualified analysis, I only play one on Monday morning. I doubt anyone would make that argument. It is interesting to consider what could have been. If Bledsoe doesn't get hurt, does Brady ever play? If Favre doesn't talk about retirement, do the Jaguars draft Rodgers and they never have a chance?

DVC rooms at GF are same type of layouts as rooms at WDW - both 1 bedroom and regular suite
Only second trip here but crowds are so much more manageable and not having to bus or boat to anything is great in my opinion.
.

Good to know. I'm hoping to get out there one day.

You are the master of the reduced airfare tickets. I have really enjoyed TOTWL for Wishes. A great view that high up, access to drinks, and then a short walk back over for a ride back to resort or better yet, stay at BLT.

Hope the drugs kick in soon. Good luck on the faculty position. If you get it we can call you the Professor and you can make us all stuff out of coconuts.

Hey guys!

Thought I would pop in over here for a little while and see what was going on. Things have been busy here, I have a half marathon on Sunday. Plus this ugly thing I do almost every day called work. Its highly overrated, just so you guys know.

Today marks a first for clan Birchfield, we actually have 2 trips on the books for WDW this year. Headed down for spring break (April 6-10) and then for Wine and Dine half in November! WOOHOO!

Matt

One of the best times of the year, Tourney time. So far, my bracket is perfect but then again, the first game just started.

Sounds like a plan although I thought you might try something more fitting to Ryder's personality. Lion trainer for a day maybe?

Have a blast. Next trip I am going to make it to ToW.

Any idea when you are going to know? Keep your chin up.

Yeah, we should have ended those global warming concerns years ago and had unlimited battery electricity from coconuts and salt water. :lmao:

Yeah, it is great to have two trips booked. Alas, we only have one this year. Bummed.

Good luck Norm!

Thanks.
