Thanks for the prayers and thanks Jim for her bday wishes. Unfortunately this won't be much of a birthday we just got a call from the hospital and will be heading back for the end game this morning. Pray for her strength and us driving through the storm to get there. Things apparently went south overnight. Thanks for the support and all guys. You are the best group and proud to call you friends.
Prayers being sent. Hang in there, Brent.
Light snow in New Jersey and SH canceled classes after 1:00 pm. and all day tomorrow. The kid is going out to get some provisions, things like kale chips and crap like that.
No donuts? You can't survive a storm on kale chips.
DS had an interesting game on Saturday. Playoff semifinals, and the game was neck and neck all the way through. Since it's 2nd 3-on-3, the rules are a bit modified. The biggest one is the substitution rules. Referee stops the clock every 3 minutes to sub players, making sure everyone gets roughly equal playing time. The other coach was clearly playing to win, no matter what. He kept in his 3 best players for the last 6 minutes of the game and the 2 minute overtime. And I'm sure that he would have kept them in again for the second overtime if we hadn't hit the game winner with 2 seconds left. He was working the poor high school kid that was reffing all game long - getting close calls overturned, etc. Just an overall bad display of sportsmanship by someone that is supposed to be setting a good example.
Was he related to anyone running the clock in the 1972 Olympic basketball tournament?
