That would be awesome mate. You can have my spare bed in the Poly if that seals the deal. Snuggles are an optional extra. Depends on how much Bourbon you get me.
Looks like the Liquor store last night![]()

My wife went out for a walk today, and apparently decided to stop at the local grocery store for a rest break. I suddenly get a picture of a package of toilet paper and a package of paper towels, "Would somebody like to come pick these up or should I carry them home?"
They were restricting to one package per customer, and were all gone 45 minutes later, by the time a friend I'd pointed there arrived.
That's not a no.....but i did just get the "if you think you can swing it" comment. I wonder if I can sell blood during this pandemic.
Morning, O' dads of all things Disney.
The rumour over here is that London is going full on Lockdown from Saturday AM, like troops on the street, Handmaids Tale style. The kids finish school tomorrow, we are now coming up with a timetable for them to give them some structure.
Went to the supermarket at 0530 this morning to get some staples for the anticipated 2 week lock in, for a 6am opening. Got there at 550 and there were around 100 people in the queue already. Got almost everything we needed (mainly vegetables) and got the heck out of there. As I left, they had shut the doors and weren't letting anyone in for 20 mins.
Our local little Italian has started doing "to go" so we ordered from there last night. It was strange getting a bone in rib eye in a pizza box, but these are strange times. It was still delicious.
Had a count up as we normally shop at Costco for stuff like TP etc. We have 51 rolls in the house with half used bags of TP all over the loft, where Lady K can't be bothered to find climb over the loft to get the spares. I think we will be OK.
I've just come back from my Butcher, who is a lovely guy, but he is totally under the cosh. I've offered to go and help him out for a couple of hours, just till he beats the rush
He does like his tummy being tickled now and thenPretty cool that you guys have a little Italian, does he need any special food or daily walks?![]()
The virus hasn't prevented yeast from rising or the ability of bread to bake, oddly enough.
Morning, gents.
Home today. But just a regular day off. DW's gone to work as she is essential service.
Ugh. The worst. Been there.
Then again... considering what's lurking out there...
I'd suspect you're right about that.
How close contact do you have with the other co-workers?
Hang in there.

I remember having issues with that. I downloaded firefox (presume Chrome would work too) and used that instead of MS Edge. That worked.Got home and spent the day trying to get Facebook messenger to acknowledge built in computer mic was on and would allow me to use video chat...but to now avail. So if any of you are techies and know how to get the two working I'd appreciate any tips.
Yesterday was day 1 of homeschooling the little one. And she's all about following the schedule. "Daddy! It's after lunch! We have to do recess!" Me (trying not to get nauseous): "Are you serious?" hahaha I suffered for my little Munchkin.
They are and they aren't here.Hope she's able to get some stuff. The stores are pretty cleared out here.
No it definitely won't. I think this virus will have more of an impact on people financially than physically. And now I'm hearing reports of unemployment will spike because of this. This certainly won't help me in finding a job.
Morning, gents.
Whelp, DW is working from home now, so there's that. She's set up in the kitchen with her laptop and phone.

But sorry you weren't feeling great.
They are and they aren't here.
Went yesterday (or was it the day before?) And while the bread shelves were wiped out a few days earlier, they were all stocked again.
People seem to forget that supply chains are still running.

Yep, we have a had a home school pack sent home with them, as it is likely to be 3 months. We are going to do a few virtual museum tours, a fair bit of Lego building, and mix it in with their usual online work, as well as some fun stuff. It may not be fun, but it is the best way to fight this thing. Just think of all the free things that are now available online? Here in the US, you can take several online classes for free from several colleges, plus all the museums now offering free online tours.
But it doesn't come out of the tap slightly sparkling like San Pelligrino does.....It also hasn't contaminated or stopped the flow of water from the tap in my house, yet people are still buying up bottled water everywhere.
Fingers crossed mateI'm afraid I might be one of them. I'll do whatever job I need to do to keep food on the table for my family, but this is going to hit me hard if my job shuts down because all of my wife's music gigs have dried up so she's not working.
I'll take care of the humour (well I'll do my best), any volunteers for the other half of that statement?Keep the humor and coming guys.
The stores over here have stopped doing 24 hr open so they can replenish. Like you say, its not a production issue, its a logistical one. However we rely on Spain and Italy for a fair amount of our non seasonal fruit, so thats gonna take a downturn.Yeah... I went to Sobeys a few days ago... no bread on the shelves. I just shrugged. Went the next day, or the day after that and... tons of bread. I got my one loaf of white and one of rye. Should be good for a bit now.
Great catch of that typo but with social spacing whoever volunteers will be on their own with thatI'll take care of the humour (well I'll do my best), any volunteers for the other half of that statement?
prayingAre you both working from home? If so, and the place starts getting messy, blame it on an invisible co-worker.
I never thought of using another web browser. I currently use Google Chrome, so maybe that's the problem. I'll switch when I get home and see if that works. Thanks for the suggestion.
I took it in stride. I brought our dog out and they played. He'd run, she'd run after him, and vise versa and I watched.
That's just it, the supply chain is still running, so people need to stop hording stuff. My wife has a friend who's child has severe allergies, and she's finding it hard to get stuff for him. So people really need to calm down
