DIS Dads DDC XXXIV: The Original Home Of The DISDads!!!

Dads of the DIS talk about life, bacon, Disney, bacon, kids, bacon, cars, bacon, family life, and lots of other fun stuff! And beer. And bacon.

Good to see you back these ways. You should never let work interfere with how much free time you have. As for West Ham, well, they haven't been relegated yet, so there's that?
Nice to be back buddy. Saw your tennis win on the other place, good work. Maybe some factor 50 next time?

You are right on the West Ham front, but we are second from bottom right now. At least we are above Wolves for a week @DisneyFed

Now where did I leave my matches. :firefight:firefight
They are next to all that old newspaper and the half-used tin of paint thinner. It'll be fine.
Hey guys, I'm headed down to WDW in the morning.
Have a great time chief. May your Spikey Pineapple be extra Spikey.

@budamacdvcr - really sorry to hear about your FIL mate. All the best from us in the mother country.

Have a tickety boo day chaps, from Lego Towers.

My name is Jeff. I'm new to the thread and to the disboards. I was referred here by Zmack and after reading the criteria for the Disney Dads Club I'm excited to join in! This is the perfect place for me and I'm excited about getting to know other Disney Dads out there! I'm glad this place exists!
:welcome: Jeff. Good to have you here.

A little bit about myself: I'm 33 y/o and I live in Fort Worth, TX. I've been married for 4 years and we have an 18 month old (born Jan 2018) boy named Benjamin. Our next trip is actually in October at Disneyland. This will be Ben's first Disneyland trip so we're excited! Next year we are taking him to WDW for his first trip so we're excited about that as well! Also, any advice any other Disney Dads out there have for going with a Toddler would be greatly appreciated!
I can't offer much advice other than naps back at the resort are glorious and may save your sanity. On the other hand, he may just sleep in the stroller...dunno...each kid is different.

Morning all...

Need more sleep. Won't get it.
Went to Germany a few days ago and going to Egypt tonight. Next week will be Mexico. Not sure what else.

Folklorama is the world's largest and longest-running multicultural festival.
It's in its 50th year, runs for two weeks and last year had over 500,000 visitors.
Wait! As in physically went to Germany and going to Egypt and Mexico??? Most people mention that when walking around world showcase, but you're not here yet.

TGIF...I think.

There are ten 11-12 year old girls coming to my place tonight for a sleep over - it's DDs 12th birthday. I'm not sure I bought a big enough bottle of rum.

Just one more week until I get some time off work for a staycation. After buying a new car, a staycation is all I can afford right now.
We’ll be there for you Jeff.

See what I did there?

Morning, gents.
Should be a $$ day today.
I need to send an e-transfer to the lawn guy ($1,500... 1/2 the amount due) because mites destroyed our lawn and it has to be completely redone.
Furnace repair guy is coming soon. That should be about $2,000.
And we need a new oven. Guessing somewhere between $1,500 - $2,500.

Thank goodness we have piles and piles of cash lying around!!!

Folklorama is kinda like Epcot's WS. Just a lot more countries. (45 this year)
We wound up not doing Egypt because it was sold out so did the UK instead. Had Guinness stew, a beef pasty, meat pie, sausage in a bun, and creampuffs and chocolate cake for dessert. Oh, and butterbeer!
Egypt tonight (We bought tickets online so we're good this time.)

Well, since you have piles lying around, could I have some to buy another bottle of rum for tonight?

Sorry about the $$$ though. These things always seem to come in bunches.

Hey guys, I'm headed down to WDW in the morning. I will try to keep tabs on you next week while I'm gone, but do me a favor, don't burn the place down.
Have fun, enjoy the nice warm weather.
We will try to keep Norm away from the matches, but a nice fire might be the only way to get this place clean. We will make sure to save the bacon and rum.

Right. That's it. I'm calling it. Work week over. Everyone out. Last one standing in Jock Lindsey's after a few rounds of Disney Label Makers Mark gets to take Aunt Beru home. And let me tell ya, she's not just hot. She's smokin'.

Have a great weekend chaps.
London out.
