Post Trip depression is in full swing.
My youngest made me laugh several times today though. She's see or hear something and then say, "That reminds me of Disney. It makes me sad b\c we're not there any more."

I tried booking for next October...at the 11 month window today and couldn't get a full week at BLT! The first Saturday wasn't available. Un-frickin-believable.

It's a federal stat holiday here and it is observed in all but 4 provinces. Even before it was a stat holiday in this province, pretty much all employers honoured the holiday.

I'll be honest, figuring out DL reservations is a little tough. Everything is right there so it's hard to split things up in sections like ; if your going to be at Animal Kingdom on a Tuesday then you book Tusker House. So it kindof allows more freedom which is awesome but at the same time it's frustrating also. Life could be worse.

That falls under #firstworldproblems

I tried booking for next October...at the 11 month window today and couldn't get a full week at BLT! The first Saturday wasn't available. Un-frickin-believable.

When we had our BLT contract, we couldn't get standard view studios. They were always booked out at 11 months. But, we did get the LV, but those were too many points". Sadly, with the FIL summer trip, no October trip next year. In fact, it looks like no WDW trip next year. It will be the first time in a decade.

Getting ready to head over to he cenotaph up the street for the ceremonies. Not a stat holiday yet here, so going to work later on. Yes it's optional today, but the extra double time is quite alluring.

Wonder if it'll be a repeat of last year, where people complained that we were open and working...all the while they were in there shopping and purchasing?

Strange that this is not a Stat holiday in Ontario.

Good luck at work. I use to love listening to all the "church" people here complain about Sunday shopping while they were at a restaurant after church or walking through the mall on a Sunday afternoon.

Thank you sir. We are a huge Christmas family and decorate like WDW (already started with getting things down from garage storage, finished villages and DW finished tree and garland in the man cave). I know it is not Thanksgiving yet, but that is the only holiday we do not host as we cannot wait until then to start the massive amounts of decorating as DW does tons of all handmade garland, wreaths, etc that are professional looking. Hey she should get a job doing this

Sorry about the depression and not being able to get what you want at 11 month window Was this a studio?

I was gonna say booking a trip is the best way to cure that. Then I kept reading... geez, maybe trying to book is making it worse!

I know we have a lot of dads here who have either served or are actively serving our country. I have nothing but respect and gratitude for all of you. Happy Veterans Day.

We are big into Christmas as well, although I have downsized over the years. At one time, I had two 12' tall candy canes made from white plastic pipe and wrapped in red duct tape. I would lean them against the house and spotlight. DW also does Christmas Candy - white chocolate peppermint, peanut butter balls, and Oreo chocolate balls are the best. I've encouraged her to start a business, as her candy is really good, and I help where I can. But, she doesn't want to.

No trip to DaWorld? Say it ain;t so Norm.

Remember, it isn't allowed. King BIL rules. I'm still hoping to grab something at 6 or 7 month mark once BIL decides when the vacation is and try to convince DW.
