After he was done we had a chance to chat with him and DS was able to get a bunch of great info from him.

I love those moments where you get that type of interaction with the cast members.

On this trip, one of the adults going down has a nephew that is an overnight supervisor for AK. He's worked at AK for a while and this was a promotion. His wife also works with the animals at AK. We're supposed to have dinner with them on the Monday we are there. It may not be dining with an Imagineer but it's close enough since it's free!

I know parties are in Sept, but not sure when they start. One way to save a little $ is to skip one or to days of theme park tickets. The day of the MNSSHP, sleep in lat, swim at pool, and then show up to MK @ 4:00 PM. You get to stay until midnight.

It wouldn't factor into the park tickets anyway, just the thought of adding on the party tickets it will add up a bit, but be worth it. I imagine we'd go full day like last time too. We are crazy like that

This year we went to the 1st MNSSHP and it was on Monday Labor Day. I have been to a few of them and this was not the best, but it did have small crowds.

We might shift our plans if it goes that early again. Only downside is the girls would miss a couple of days.

Since Labour Day is so late, it'd be nice if they threw one before hand. I'll be watching like a hawk.

It's been a long week. I'll start my three day weekend after basketball practice. Some really bad news. We may not go to WDW next year!!!!

DW had a promotion and she won't get Fall Break next year. With FIL summer vacation plans still up in the air, can't plan then. I'm trying to talk her into taking dds out of school and go Thanksgiving week. How bad are the crowds then?

Just having a coffee in my favorite rocking chair at POR.

A little swim time and off to Epcot for the evening. Let me just say that I wish Food and Wine was all the time, great food, great drinks and good company. After eating and drinking my way around the world it was Illuminations time. When it was over we rushed over to Soarin because it was night time EMH, the wait time was 10 minutes and we scored concourse B row 1 our favorite spot. Next was living with the land, figment, then test track, 20 minute wait.

Two awesome ways to relax at WDW. Great view and EMH.

Don't worry. Election will be over soon, and then they can go back to just collecting substantial tax payer salaries, doing nothing, and blaming others.

Shh...but after that last trip, I found that I was the one having troubles keeping up, usually I'm the one last standing. But I'm working on getting into better condition for it. I've got one MK day planned next year for early Crystal Palace breakfast to end with EMH.

Morning guys.

We actually slowed down a little yesterday, we decided to do a little swimming in the morning and hang out at the resort a while. We had lunch outside the parks again, we figure we have our car so we may as we'll try and save a bit of money.

This trip we decided to do some exploring, we are really thinking of hopping on the DVC band wagon so we wanted to look at some of the rooms, we went to OKW and the Boardwalk. OKW was really nice but not our style. When we went to Boardwalk we absolutely loved the hotel, we already loved the area so if we buy we are looking at maybe re-sale at the Boardwalk. We might stop over to GF to check it out but the hotel is a little too snooty for us common folk. Lol

Did some snacking in the WS and decided to call it an early night. Came back to POR and grabbed some dinner. DW and DS15 have turkey dinner DS12 had a create your own pasta and I had a create your own salad.....yes salad and it was very good.

I’ll concur on Thanksgiving. We did that way back in 2002 and it got steadily busier across the week. We also did the week leading into Christmas in 2010 and that one was actually the single most crowded trip to the World I’ve ever taken. Hope y’all can find some other alternative. The driving will be tough but maybe a couple of short trips during quieter times would help you work with that newly constrained calendar a bit better.
