Good afternoon guys, hope everyone's doing well!
I decided to look at the ride closures for the Star Wars 1/2 trip coming up, I was surprised, I know it's slow season but wow. Matterhorn Bobsleds, Soarin, Peter Pans Flight, Winnie the Pooh, world of color, Haunted Mansion and Luigis flying tires (going away for good) all during SW 1/2 weekend. I'm hoping Haunted Mansion gets reopened quickly from the Haunted Mansion Holiday overlay. All in all it's going to be a fun trip either way!

That's an awful lot of closed all at once. Seems right Un-Disney like.
Hadn't heard about "Luigis" closing for good either. I'll need to look into what went wrong there.

Top O the Mornin Dads!

Great day yesterday, arrived at POR at 4:30. Did on-line check in so the process was simple. Got our bands and hit the pool an hot tub. Today we hit MK in the morning, time for some pool time then the party tonight! Have a magical day guys!!

** Bad Idea of the Day ***

Well, regardless of the outcome of this particular bad idea, I'd say that poor kid doesn't stand a chance.

Great day yesterday, we went to the MK in the morning and had FP set up for a trifecta of mountains. Did SM, BTM and Splash M. We had lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern before Splash and it was pretty good. Nice place to cool off and take a break as well.

We headed back to POR for some pool time before we went to the party. At this point I have to say, if any Dads have not been to the Halloween Party yet, it definitely is a must do. We went to the party last year and really enjoyed it so we decided to go again. All I can say is AWESOME!! Parade, trick or treating, and the fireworks, in my opinion the best Disney has to offer. We have candy we will be eating for a month, all the CM's we're having a great time and we're very generous with the candy.

After the second parade we decided to hit a couple of rides, we got on Pirates and then saw the wait time was 30 minutes for the mine train and waited. It was 11:30 and we figured this would be our last ride. This is a fantastic coaster, not a mega big coaster but pretty great themed ride and very smooth.

Good morning fellow dads, figured I would post during a webinar. The Holt clan is expanding today as my Nephew Lucas should be born sometime today. May the force be with him!

Feeling kind of numb right now. There has been a shooting this morning in Ottawa. One soldier has been shot at the War Memorial and one shooter has been killed inside the building that houses Parliament. It has thrown me for a bit of a loop as I spent yesterday all through that area in meetings. Walked by the War Memorial numerous times throughout the day and had meetings in those buildings. Reports are there may be another gunman or two.

Praying that the soldier is ok. This was the second attack on soldiers within the past couple of days. Two others were run over in Quebec at a strip mall.
