Forgot to mention. Town closed down all of our outdoor activities since a EEE mosquito was found in the town next door. The stupid part is that the town where it was found has all the fields open and they offered to let us use them. Gotta love that one mosquito means total sit down. Even in the middle of the day when there are exactly ZERO mosquitos.

Good Saturday ownage morning all. Older dd had first middle school dance yesterday.
I guess it's time to have the shotgun ready for cleaning. :

DS just started his freshman year of HS. He has been asked by 3 different girls to come to their sports games. He is not really interested in a girlfriend right now, but I can see the writing on the wall.

Afternoon gentlemen, well I am home from the "darkside" trip, sadly it was short but we had a blast, as always I highly recommend a trip to universal even if it's for a day. The Cabana Bay hotel was awesome and for the price an awesome value!

Sounds like a great vacation. Glad it went well.

Can someone explain to me how the Dolphins beat New England and are not 0-3 right now?

Patriots 16, Raiders 9. That about explains it. Our offensive line has more holes than the swiss cheese on my sandwich yesterday. Play calling was brutal and not sure what we'll do if teams start double teaming Edelman.

The good thing is our defense is much better so we only have to kick field goals to have a shot at winning every week.

The Bills are back to normal. Go mediocrity!

Well at least your still tied for first place. It's going to be a coin flip in the AFC East based on the first three weeks.

DD's hoop team went 1-2 this weekend (the fill in team). She played well, but the team is not that strong as a whole and the 2 games we lost were against 2 of the top teams in the state. A very nice group of girls though so DD said she didn't mind the losses.

Just had time to jump on as I was recaffeinating. This week culminates the year for me. Between Tue and Wed I will host approximately 1200-1500 Pre-K-1st graders in the pumpkin patch but I did a rough count when we walked the vines down and we had plenty (we also killed a 3.5 foot copperhead). Thursday is Natural Resources Youth Day with fewer kids but more hormones and Saturday we host the College of Ag Field Day. Unfortunately, my summer help tore a tendon in his ankle over the weekend so he won't be much help this week. All on top of my normally abnormal life issues. At least I am still on the green side of the sod though and as my DD mentioned just the other day, we should be thankful we aren't living in Syria. I think I am having a bad influence on my kids.

Been about a week since chiming in here, longest since that day I asked to join. Business travel is piling up these days but at home now this week until heading back out Friday. Got a convention in Vegas so gonna bring DW with me for some r&r this weekend before event starts up. Hey guys, checking in from Universal Cabana Bay Hotel, we are having a great time, I'm on pace to ride every ride and a few twice. I was alittle bummed to see men sitting on the shuttle bus back to the hotel as a woman and 2 children had to stand but I know not everyone lives by gentlemen code. I hope everyone's doing well, my feet are killing me but I'll manage for one more day.

RIP Rob Bironas, he did a lot of charity work in and around Nashville and he helped the Titans win a lot of games. Prayers go out to his family and the Bradshaw family. Was married just this past June to Terry Bradshaws daughter, so sad.

Looks like a lot of families are either getting back from a trip, on their way or currently there. Hope everyone had, will have or is having a great time. October 7 can not get here soon enough.

There is no joy in Gatorland today. Total beat down by Alabama yesterday. The real disappointing thing is Driskel could't hit anything. The natives are restless to say the least. All we need is a quarterback that can hit an open receiver once in a while and three guys in the secondary that can be at least 5 yards near an opposing receiver.

Some strange and interesting games yesterday. Weird day.

Ceiling is going into the basement today. Another milestone. TV's purchased over the weekend and will be mounted on the walls this weekend. It looks like at least another 3 weeks based on the granite, carpet and tile work. Not bad for a project that was supposed to be completed on Sept. 9th.

DD's hoop team went 1-2 this weekend (the fill in team). She played well, but the team is not that strong as a whole and the 2 games we lost were against 2 of the top teams in the state. A very nice group of girls though so DD said she didn't mind the losses. We start practice tonight with her regular team.

DW wanted to learn to golf so she could go with me a couple of years ago. Lucky for me she never followed through. That would have been awesome getting to spend 5 hours in a golf cart being told I had too much beer, how to hit the ball and having to go into the wood to find her ball as well as mine. Good times.

Kitchen remodel is on deck for us next year - your event is scaring me Good deal and congrats to DD on all the positive hoops activity and bless the maker that the DWs did not follow through on the golf game ...........

The AFC East is going to be ugly to watch. The Dolphins even uglier. Was not a good weekend of football here. At least some of the games I had no skin in the game were entertaining. Both the Florida and Phins games made me ill and I did pick the wrong weekend not to have any alcohol.

Glad the remodeling project is coming along and not too far behind schedule. Maybe it will be finished in time for the Super Bowl. Too bad on the losses but at least she has a great attitude.

I'm hoping it goes really fast to Oct 4, and then really slows down.

I can live with that as long as you are OK that it keeps a slow pace until the 15th.

How is sophomore year going for PP? Hope well.

I for one am glad the Sox aren't playing. This year was pretty rough to watch between the management decisions and just plain ugly baseball. It is a fun park to be at though. The game we went to was the last one for the year for me. Just never had the motivation or schedule free to go back.

And don't forget the 36 credit cards lost and stolen over the last 12 months.

Junior year. Don't want to make any extra tuition payments. She is doing well. She is on top of her classes, keeping up with her running and has some interesting projects coming up for her Ecology Club. My tree hugger was in the city yesterday and participated in the Climate Change march. Had a good time and was able to spend some time in the Big Apple.

I can understand not wanting to see the Sox this year. Really ugly game when we went but still had a great time. Fenway, an icon. And it is only two cards this year but it is only September.

In Florida, they put chickens in cages ringing the everglades and test them for different mosquito borne diseases. A guy I knew was with the Health Department that works on that project and scared the begeesus out of me when he told me what they usually find. If they closed everything down because of that, we would only be able to get around in Hazmat suits.

It may be a good thing. Contentment is not found in many of our youth today, including my own children. I try to teach them, but ther are lots of distractions from friends and media.

No email, on the 10 miler thread, they posted the link to download and print your Bib number waiver form and the link to the corral number assignments, I submitted a crappy 10k time and got corral G, I haven't trained like I should have so I'm def going to need all the extra time I can get.

By the time of the race I'll be 1 month smoke free so that should help alittle lol. I am also staying at SSR 2nd -5th
