Good evening gentlemen.

Stretch and I went golfing with a work buddy today. Thirty minutes on the range really helped him out. Then we hit the course. He lasted five holes. Then he played on his Nook while we finished the round. He also played the last hole with us. He had a blast.

Thanks CJ. This is the safest place I've found to vent my furstrations.

I hear ya Brent. In fact I think Stretch is leaning toward surgery so he can get away from needing a hearing aid. The problem is, if you open the ear canal first you cannot go back and reconstruct the ear later.

I'm not sure I want to be messing with a 7 foot long critter that is all muscles and teeth.

Thanks man. We're not in a big hurry right now. My sister is a nurse at the Mayo Clinic and will be sending us the info for who to contact. I'm hoping they can help. It looks like most other doctors who do this are scattered across the country.

I hope you guys get the answers you need and it all works out for the best.

well, good news. just got a call from Make a Wish (well, actually an email saying the phone number they had for me was disconnected.. old provider pulled out of the market area and told us to find a new provider, and the email asked me to call a number to discuss our upcoming make a wish trip), to discuss our make a wish trip. we confirmed the dates we will be going. the flight times, i may have to ask for a later flight home! and we will be staying at the GF since the Poly is under construction. asked about dining plan (saw that they were testing offering dining plan without tickets tied to the room, would make me booking our meals easier for the character meals so i would not have to prepay them), and just need to confirm/figure out what DS wants his special thing to be while we are there. its tentativly set as the Jake and the Neverland pirates deluxe package thingy.

so our dates are confirmed Nov 20 - Nov 26. any of yall gonna be there during that time?
Have fun storming the castle!

Good morning guys. Off to the doc today for routine check up and cholesterol testing.

Must be the day for tests, I just got back from blood work and and ECG. Hope you get an A.

Always wanted to visit a State Fair, but, no state:rotfl2: CNE I think is the closest equivalent we have, that starts Friday, heading there next week

Do they have the hog callin' contest at the CNE?

Been kind’a needin’ to borrow Shawn’s avatar for a little while here.
I may be a bit quiet, but I’m reading along when possible.

Prayers, good thoughts and extra bacon for all...
and a few extra for Stretch; tough decisions ahead there.
Y’all take care now.

Keep your chin up!

I'm staring at Google Earth coordinates 28.4173725,-81.5808989. I think it's time to start writing a trip proposal for the finance and vacation committees.

Here's a little pick me up.

Go easy there. Norm is still wet behind the ears compared to some of us.
LOL. I'm like hours younger than Norm.
When I was at the surgeon's office, one of the statements started out as: "At your age..." and I wasn't sure that it was going to be at my age...old or at my age...young!

Seems like I was on the left side of the bell curve. When they said the ACL was torn, a 19 year old gets knee reconstruction done, a 40 year old gets surgery and an "old" person just deals with it.

1st day of school here ownage. "Woohoo! You're the government's problem."- Homer Simpson

That easy? I'm a big chicken and not sure I'm ready for it.
My girls get classroom\teacher assignments today. All the teachers for both grades are excellent, so I'm not worried. The kids are pretty excited. DW is anxious to see which kids are the classes with our girls.

Not sure what all symptoms you have with your knee but the process was not bad. I am still trying to get range of motion and flexibility back. I'm not a patient person and want to really push it. They told me up front, over the next 30 days I WILL have days with pain and swelling and that it's normal. But I started losing weight and eating much better, so I'm anxious to get back on the proverbial horse. If you are serious about losing weight, then perhaps come up with a fitness\healthy eating plan and look at getting the knee fixed then.

I'm not sure about knee surgery...it seems like it is really hit or miss.

Certainly. It depends on many individual factors. For me, the pain and inflammation was going to impact a lot of my activities...skiing, running, yard work, etc.
If it was just arthritis, i'd have said take some supplements and get the shots. And drink more.

But with the torn meniscus, it's just a nagging injury that won't get better.

The ice pack and I have become close friends since I injured my knee in January!

You aren't that far from the Erie County Fair in Hamburg and it is excellent. 2nd largest fair in NY.

I have a free weekend coming up, might look into that

Positive thoughts heading your way..

Morning Men. It's would you rather Wednesday; which would you pick.

No brainer...blue

Do they have the hog callin' contest at the CNE?

No, that's what the deep-fried mars bars are for

Rob, one of me with my life is enough for any group :lmao:

It’s surprising how often I say pretty much that same sentence to folks around me as well.
Helps me none, but you can always try to save the others.

Speaking of surgery, nothing like your first sports injury prior to age 1. :lmao:

Yep…
The parent of the year there has successfully accomplished the “Clean” part of the lift.
Now he’s contemplating the “Jerk” part of it.

Is this work-related downpours?
Work’s stable for now (other than hating my job)…
This is just a collection of several other things I won’t worry y’all with combined a sizable case of blue.
I’ll work through it, but thanks for asking.

Truthfully, I sould’a just kept it to myself rather than bother all y’all.
Sorry ‘bout that.

The bionic knee was only offered in the premium insurance plan. I didn't upgrade. :lmao:

:lmao:
I needed that laugh.

I'm not sure about knee surgery...it seems like it is really hit or miss.

I'm having thumb surgery next week. Ruptured tendon on what happens to be my shooting hand, so it's a no brainer for me on that one...my knees, if it wasn't necessary, would give me pause!

I would say that counts as a bit of a necessity in your line of work.
I’m also more in line with you in the knee. Can’t speak for others, but I’d have to think about it long and hard before having that work done.

Morning Men. It's would you rather Wednesday; which would you pick.

Blue.

Of course it’s also rather easy to look like you’re altruistic rather than selfish when you know that neither option is even remotely possible. It would be interesting to see how folks react to actually having a genie offer up a few certifiable wishes. Again, being unlikely, we’ll have to settle for literary shadows and hope that we ourselves really are the good people we would like to think we are.

Top O the Morn'n Dads. Here's one to start the day off........

New bloody mary menu at Dawa Bar (one of my favorite places to hang, especially since expansion of Harambe for Lion King) in AK. Can't think of a better way to start a day :)

Let me know if the committees need a reference, be glad to help out:) Good luck with the proposal

So, I saw the trailer for Donald Duck coming to Infinity 2.0. Does that mean I have to buy a whole new game and platform to put the characters on???

I believe you will need new software.

However, the base from the 1.0 will work with 2.0.

Grrrrrr....

The doc visit went well. I never get tired of when the nurse asks me to confirm my blood type and I say A......for Awesome, I just laugh and laugh.

Cholesterol is fine, knee not so much, shoulder not so much. I am not doing the surgery, I have a displaced tendon, the one that goes over the knee cap. My shoulder is more of a pinched nerve.

On the plus side I am 2lbs lighter than last time :lmao:

I am going for a physical at 12:30.

I am not as confident about the weight going down, as yours did.

Not true. Venting is good for the soul.

Never think twice, that's what we are all here for. Besides, you never know, if the stars are in the right alignment, and the gods smile upon thee, perhaps, just PERHAPS one of the nuggets of wisdom we spout might actually be, you know, useful! :lmao:
