Name is Jon. Been to WDW about 18 times in my 29 years of life. Now have a 5 year old and taking her to WDW this Sept for the first time. We breathe, sleep, eat disney at my house. From "Under the sea" alarm music, to Frozen fruit snacks, to one Disney movie before bed. Can't wait for her to see the real deal in Sept.

Welcome to the clam bake

You guys been busy today. Looking forward to next week when I can return to more office time, which means more Dis time. School fees paid today. :scared::crazy2:

Norm has a state job where you get tons of vacation time, never have to actually work and never get promoted. Maybe he needs an assistant.

I would hire myself as my assistant and provide a pay raise. :lmao:

or the alcoholic suckers story i said i would tell later.. i have some time now that DS is out with grandma for a while longer (read at most another 45 minutes)

Sounds good, but way too much work for me.

Welcome. Dues are payable in Dole Whips, bacon, beer, or cake. You mail enough for everyone to me, and I will distribute them.

:worship::worship:
I just got done looking up that place you went to a few years back with the X-Wing and added that to our list for this month's road trip. Now this?!? I will have exactly 0 work-related productivity today. :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

So, you had the same amount of productivity as I did.

We got back from our first soccer game. It looks like we and others were listened to. They had about 20 minutes of practice before playing the other team. DS showed that he just likes running and kicking a ball. DD has already shown she would rather not get scored on rather than score herself.

Youngest dd started at defense. I think it was easier playing in space and ball in front of her. However, once she scored a goal, she loved playing forward and scoring goals. Now, I can't get her to play defense.

Just a quick check-in before heading to bed.
Had a BUSY but fun filled day.
Good news is that I got clean bill of health on my knee. They expect an excellent recovery based on the procedure and said that my knee looks great for being 12 days post-op. I'll be back to running 60 minute 5K in no time!
:rotfl:
.

Is that a good time? Well, it would be a good time for me. :lmao:

When I took over our Intramural hoop program. Starts at Kindergarten. First thing we did was stop the trophies and medals and started a season end tournament for the kids. Winner of the tournament get t-shirts proclaiming they are the Champions for the year. Everyone had a blast, the kids thought it as the best thing in the world playing quick games against all the other teams in a few hours. You wouldn't believe all of the "everything was awesome this season, but it's too bad you stopped giving out awards to all the kids". My response: If they want an award, they better start practicing to win the t-shirts next year.:thumbsup2 That didn't go over so well.:rotfl2::lmao::rotfl2:
This year for DD's baseball it's 5 pictches from a coach, then a tee. We do 5 runs or 3 outs. It worked well and most of the coaches were all on the same page across the different teams. Each game we had a gameball. One of the kids said, "I want it. Can I have it?"
At that point I said to him, "You don;t just get it b\c you want it. You have to earn it. Can you tell me what you did to earn it?"
I then explained that the game ball is for someone that exemplified teamwork, hustle and hard work. We were fortunate in that we had someone that really did well each game and deserved the game ball. From that first game on though, the kids understood that it was going to be earned.

Welcome to the club.

Their is nothing like seeing the look on a loved one's face the first time they are at WDW.

Hello, my name is Corey and I love Disney!

Been a life long Disney fan, but have only been to WDW 1 time in 2008 for my honeymoon. Planning to take the soon to be 4 year old princess in February. Been reading and learning from the DIS boards and just discovered this Man Cave you have set up.

Anyways, the wife is pretty much left me in charge of the planning and I have been like a man possessed and I am loving the minutiae of the planning.

A little bit about me, I am a web/UI/UX developer for a private company. I also do freelance web work. I enjoy sports, good music, movies and a good dark craft beer.

Welcome!

We have our draft today for the company season tickets to Colts games. The only game not available this year is the Patsies ;)

Looking at trying for the Eagles and the Ravens.

Morning Men. Seems like I am in charge today, my boss emailed me yesterday afternoon and copied our corporate manager saying he will be out. Woohoo!! Pizza and beer in the breakroom!

Morning all. My day ends early today (2) and I have an MRI on my knee. Don't want to regret losing $, but in this case,it may be a good idea.

I haven't really judged myself on time. My goal is to cross the finsih line before they start taking it down!

I hear that. My FIL had a sister that died from breast cancer ten years ago, and he always walks the 5K for that event fundraiser. My oldest dd and DW walk it with him. Even with his replaced hip, he was faster than some this year.

I am an amateur BBQer, so if you all don't mind coming up to NY I can throw a few pork shoulders, a brisket and some ribs on the smoker to pay my dues. I'm sure DW wouldn't mind :thumbsup2
