Friday evening. DW and DDs went as guests of our friends to a local swim club. I'm at home making grilled cheese and tomato soup for myself, then heading out to do neglected yard work.

The "Sympathy Train" has officially left the station. :sad2:

Over 10 pages behind so rather than try to catch up, prayers for those in need, welcome new Dads, and bacon for all. Crazy week and still way behind but just put a deposit down for 5 days in the world next year for 20th anniversary so it isn't all bad.

The Friday night of a long weekend, life is good!

Trying another one of yours tonight Brent, River Walker Summer Ale.

Choo Choo!

Glad to hear you are felling better.

All this bourbon talk got my thinking. After I recovered, I took DW there as it also has a restaurant. I had some bourbon flights, and believe the Four Roses was the best of them. I chased them with Dox Equis Amber for that international flavor. Sadly, they don't have draft beer there. We also enjoyed an cheese thing appetizer, filet, and pecan pie for dessert. Then, we walked down to the riverfront and enjoyed some music. It was a good night.

You can continue to neglect the yard work, which works well for me. :lmao:

Congrats on the deposit on the trip for next year. When are you going?

I think I could even get that one through the Budget Committee!

:thumbsup2

Folks either hate 'em or love 'em not much in the middle. Chicago Irish kids born in the 60's & 70's come out of the womb ND fans - or get thrown back until they com to their senses ;) ]

Kinda like UK basketball fans here. Absolutely hate every other team and are distraught when they lose any game. I still remember Calipari's first year here, when the team was 20-3, and he was upset when a fan called the radio show to talk about how disappointing the season was going because of the 3 losses.

Morning Guys.

First weekend without travel or soccer in awhile so I guess that means there are chores to be done.....replace some carpet, clean the gutters and clean up some trees from Hurricane Arthur. Glad it's a long weekend.

Def sounds like a nice, relaxing evening.

Good morning guys
Morning, David!

Those weekends without perpetually running are rare. I hope you can use it to get stuff done and find soe time to enjoy the lack of chaos, too!

Thanks! I'm anxious to get back to "normal" to see how much of a difference the surgery made!

My wide works 8-4 today, so not a bad weekend shift. I'm planning to get my grass cut and run some errands. Right now my girls are chilling with one of their little friends that spent the night. I got cool Dad points for basically ignoring them and then making them Mickey Head pancakes for breakfast. ::MickeyMo

Carpet replaced, gutters cleaned out and the house washed just for the heck of it. Man am I tired! Shower and a beer time. (Not together)

That my friend is some serious productivity :thumbsup2
I too, got my chores done and am going to cleanup now. Then i think I'll have an adult beverage :drinking1 (and perhaps dinner).

My DW and one of my DDs are MIA :confused3
So I'm not sure what our plans are.

For the record, there's nothing wrong with showering and drinking. Just don't let your beer get watered down.

Holy crap was guardians of the galaxy awesome!!!!

Morning guys.

I think this will be a quiet Sunday, well until my brother and his clan arrive that is.

Have a good one.

...Congrats on the deposit on the trip for next year. When are you going?....

May, Lord willing and the creek don't rise, as they say over here.

Cool Dad points are always good.

:faint: I need a nap after just reading that.

Good morning guys.

Morning guys....

:wave2:

Morning all. It is another beautiful day here with highs in the 80s. Next weekend will be the last calm one for a while as school starts the 13th along with soccer and swim. The summer has just flown by as usual.

May, Lord willing and the creek don't rise, as they say over here.

I've heard that one a few times.

Clan? Is this like some battle scene? :lmao: Enjoy the calm before the storm.

I've heard some good reviews. Thanks for the input. Maybe that will be our next weekend plans.

Am I the only one who installed a cup holder in the shower? :lmao:

That is a lot of work. If you want to pick up Corey and drive down and fix up my house, then I am more than willing to watch you all work.

As soon as I finish cleaning up the trees I will start the journey down. It may take awhile though. Typically I get as far as Portland, Maine and then turn around or I get on a plane and just by-pass you entirely. Poor planning on my part I guess.
