Paint-a-palooza 2014 is done. Every room in the house has a fresh coat. The carpets have all been stain treated and the new couch for the man cave will be here on Tuesday. :faint:

That’s a lot of work. Last time I painted an entire interior of a house was 2003. Also had to remove wallpaper from nearly every room first (which was a worse job). Lesson learned… when we needed to move again last November, I made sure we had enough cash to hire that job out.

After being told last week I didn't get full time I finalized all of our appointments for Thursdays and Fridays. the grandparents who are watching the kids did the same. Then on Tuesday I go called back and told I am now full time with Mondays and Tuesdays off. So we have three weeks with no one to watch the munchkins. But in the long run, it'll be a lot better. I'll have a set schedule, PTO, and a much better health plan than DW's. I just need to survive the next 33 days.

Congrats that the employers finally wised up and offered you the full time spot. Timing could’a been better, but obviously a much improved situation. You’ll find a way to work through the next month I’m sure. That’s what we do: find a way to make things work out.

I did a Google Image Search of "bad ideas for the weekend." Do not try it at work.
I have a private office and am in charge of the corporate web filter. So I'm going to give it a try....

Holy Crap! Those are bad ideas. Very, very bad ideas.

Unless you're single. :thumbsup2

I do believe I’ll wait until I get back to the house, but I’m not surprised.
I encountered a lot of similar instances of, “now how the heck did this search turn up that picture?”, when I started trying to find good candidate images for my Bad Idea of the Day series.

Looks like the bungalows at the Poly are getting their own pools...

…Clearly, even if there ever is availability, I'll never be able to afford to stay there now.

Interesting… while also being a bit sad. Like you observed, there’s no way the average Disney fan will be able to afford those bad boys.

Lately, they do seem to be spending a rather large amount of time and resources implementing grand new amenities that most folks will just never experience beyond seeing a picture or reading a blog post.

Most ideas sounded good when I was single. Now, I hear a voice telling me it's not a good idea. It's usually DW's voice.. :lmao:

I do believe most of us hear a very similar voice…
Often. :lmao:

In my best mimicking quote from the Good, Bad, & the Ugly.

There are two kinds of men in this world. Those who are told the stove is hot, and those who have to touch the hot stove to find out.

That’s about the same as what we refer to as “Rule of Life #13”. Officially it’s worded like this…
“Rule 13: If you were told that the fence is electric, and the sign says that the fence is electric, but you piss on it anyway… we will post the video.”

I was until we saw the Sox last night. Actually, the Fish have had their moments this year.

Sorry to say but despite what was widley reported, Jim is not the a$$hat many say. Had a great time last night despite the egg the Sox laid. Ugly game but Fenway is everything they say it is. Good time was had by all.

The pretzel and beer expert

Not bad seats

Like I said, a great time despite the game.

Morning guys!

Awesome stuff! Enjoy the trip (and the countdown!!!)

Surprisingly, I also had a great time, despite the company... ;)

It was really a good time. Jim hooked us up big time with unbelievable seats, and CJ lost his credit card about an hour into the evening, giving us more ammo to bag on him all night. Good times.

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Looks like a good time was had by all! Nice to see these meet ups. :thumbsup2

Looks like the bungalows at the Poly are getting their own pools...

For those that can't access the link at work, here's the gist of it:

"Reports indicate that all 20 bungalows will receive a private "plunge pool." Plunge pools typically have capacities comparable to a residential hot tub, but with a greater depth.

The pools will reportedly be installed on the lagoon side of the bungalows, serving as a prime viewing location for Magic Kingdom fireworks, Electrical Water Pageant and other activities on the Seven Seas Lagoon. "

Clearly, even if there ever is availability, I'll never be able to afford to stay there now.
Those sound awesome. can't wait to see the cost\points for them. :scared1:

That explains it. :lmao: Hate those last minute goals by the other team. Me too. Not sure I was invited or it was in my transportation loop, but those are great seats. But, not as good as those Colts tickets from my nemesis.

I might have an extra one available again this year

A dream is a wish your heart makes........but your wallet can't fulfill, lol

Happy Friday Boys!!

I'm heading to the Mecca of college football today, Notre Dame ;). I'll pay homage for all the disdads. Hey quick question, has anyone eaten at Liberty Tree Tavern for dinner? Thoughts?

Friday morning home from work ownage. I see Randall has a new title - the Penguin King. Think they'll make a movie about it with the Rock as the lead actor?

.

One of the dream vacations is staying in one of those bungalows that sit out over the water where you can jump in and swim. Since one can't swim in the seven seas lagoon, this was a good option.

I
. Norm - try pouring more bourbon for the knee.
?

A topical bourbon application? And I've been drinking it. That's the problem. :lmao:

Well, they were warned. Beer goggles sometimes improve your eyesight, and sometimes make it worse.

Those sound awesome. can't wait to see the cost\points for them. :scared1:

I can only imagine. I can stay a week at the BWV standard for 70 points or 4 nights at the VGF for 100 points. I'd like to try these new resorts, but they are lot of points.

I might have an extra one available again this year.

I'm happy to make the trip, especially before the boys get older and want to start going to the games.

. Hey quick question, has anyone eaten at Liberty Tree Tavern for dinner? Thoughts?

Not my favorite. It is served family style for dinner, but just wasn't very good. It is turkey and thanksgiving side items, but not done very well. I've heard the lunch menu is served a la carte, and I wouldn't mind to try it.

Clearly, even if there ever is availability, I'll never be able to afford to stay there now.
::yes::

Seems like a cool idea, but I'm not going to spend more money for a week in a room that costs more than it costs to pay for my home for a year. :faint:

I've got to say though, when I first saw the picture with something hanging from a crane I thought it was going to be one of Rob's "bad idea" posts. :rotfl2:

Oh....And that syrup is gone. I may need to drive up there and tap a tree.

I can't believe you went through all the syrup in less than a month. You guys must really like maple syrup. I guess if you ever make it up this way for a BBQ, everything will be maple based. :lmao:

I say we all chip in and rent one when they are done. How many people can you fit in a bungalow? :lmao::lmao:

Looks like they'll be really nice. They are probably already sold out for the first 24 months after completion. I can't even get a FP to BOG or E&A meet.

Well, that's another day to spend gas money. Then, I have to wear pants one more day a week. Plus, I have to bring my iPad charger into work. That is a lot of extra work. :lmao:

I think I speak for us all when I say: Any activity that requires you to actually wear pants is a good thing.:lmao::rotfl2::lmao:

:rotfl::rotfl:

It's a trap!

If they are playing the Ravens, I'd be up for a road trip...

I'm pretty sure he wasn't inviting you, only Norm.:lmao::rotfl2::lmao: Does anyone actually want to watch the Ravens? Hey, how is Ray Rice doing? :lmao::lmao::lmao:

gag, cough, sputter, yech :scared1:
Sorry, I just threw up in my mouth a little...

Morning Guys and Happy Beer Day.

Good Morning Darcy!:):)

You want to see a fat guy succeed, watch me at a buffet. :thumbsup2

We have had multiple breakfasts with Mickey pancakes and/or waffles. DD made maple and bacon cupcakes (that were to die for). We made some maple candy things that the kids in the neighborhood all seemed to enjoy and a few other things DD attempted, but were just so-so.

DD was on a mission. We are looking at a few drivable destinations for weekend trips now. Your area may be one of them. I'll let you know.

:wave2:

Nice thread here. Did I miss anything?

Nope. Pretty standard stuff.

Most ideas sounded good when I was single. Now, I hear a voice telling me it's not a good idea. It's usually DW's voice.. :lmao:

I hear that same voice, but it's usually on tape delay and doesn't prevent me from making said bad decision. :confused3

If they are playing the Ravens, I'd be up for a road trip... ... and an invite. :)

Sunday, October 5th. We have our ticket draft here in a couple if weeks. I get two or three games this year since I only took one last year. I'll let you know if I can score the Ravens game.

I'm happy to make the trip, especially before the boys get older and want to start going to the games. Not my favorite. It is served family style for dinner, but just wasn't very good. I will have at least two games this year if not three. I should know in a couple of weeks. So far the boys have shown zero interest in American football. I think watching a full season might change that. :)
