Bad Idea of the Day

stupid%20people%2065.jpg

‘Morning all…
Rainy Friday down this way. Beats a rainy Monday though.

A dream is a wish your heart makes........but your wallet can't fulfill, lol

I’m not sure that qualifies as a Man Law, but it’s certainly a fact.
I may have to add that on to our families “Rules of Life” list.

Hey quick question, has anyone eaten at Liberty Tree Tavern for dinner? Thoughts?

As Norm said the family style dinner is only fair, but I liked it better than a lot of folks do. Now the lunch offerings are considerably better (and be sure to have the Toffee Cake for desert). We’re planning to head back there next time we get into the MK.

I've got to say though, when I first saw the picture with something hanging from a crane I thought it was going to be one of Rob's "bad idea" posts. :rotfl2:

:lmao:
And if there were a couple of workers trying to dive into it from off the top of the crane, That would certainly have been a candidate.

Morning Guys and Happy Beer Day.

I’ll drink to that!

Once I get home that is.

:wave2:

Nice thread here. Did I miss anything?

Beer, bacon and a few bad ideas.

Welcome home sir. I saw many intriguing posts on the Book of the Face concerning your latest adventures.
Seriously looking forward to the TR of that one.

Nope. Pretty standard stuff.

Just as I suspected. Which is why I didn't bother to go back and catch up. :rotfl2:

Thanks! I'd say it's good to be back, but my momma told me not to tell lies. It was a great time, even with a baby who wasn't a fan of sleeping at night.

Top O the Mornin guys.

A dream is a wish your heart makes........but your wallet can't fulfill, lol

Happy Friday Boys!!

I'm heading to the Mecca of college football today, Notre Dame ;). I'll pay homage for all the disdads. Hey quick question, has anyone eaten at Liberty Tree Tavern for dinner? Thoughts?
Sounds great, big ND fan here in SEC country - GO IRISH!

We really like LTT for family style dinner. Not an every visit destination, but we do like the food, the atmosphere of colonial and they bring extras of whatever you want. We like the food but then again our family is a basic meat and potato group too.
Morning Guys and Happy Beer Day.

Can I have an AMEN!

Hey Guys....happy Friday!

Just about 45 minutes left in my work day for today...

But I've gotta work tomorrow! :headache:

After work tomorrow is my DD5's birthday party....looking forward to having a bunch of friends and family over.

And especially excited to have a fresh keg of Fat Tire in the kegerator!! :thumbsup2

Have a good one gentlemen!

Happy Friday gentlemen. Or as I call it, Tuesday. :faint:

DW and I are excited for this new oppertunity. Plus she got a call on the same day from her old boss saying they were hiring they really want her back.
Looks like the bungalows at the Poly are getting their own pools...

http://dvcnews.com/index.php/resorts/polynesian/2663-private-pools-for-poly-bungalows

For those that can't access the link at work, here's the gist of it:

"Reports indicate that all 20 bungalows will receive a private "plunge pool." Plunge pools typically have capacities comparable to a residential hot tub, but with a greater depth.

The pools will reportedly be installed on the lagoon side of the bungalows, serving as a prime viewing location for Magic Kingdom fireworks, Electrical Water Pageant and other activities on the Seven Seas Lagoon. "

Clearly, even if there ever is availability, I'll never be able to afford to stay there now.
Well, I went and got one of each lottery ticket Wednesday. Here's hoping.

Congrats on the full time gig and fighting sunburn. Feel free to stop by my house as it can use some work.
DW had started looking at real estate, so I figure this is a lot less work than packing.
That’s a lot of work. Last time I painted an entire interior of a house was 2003. Also had to remove wallpaper from nearly every room first (which was a worse job). Lesson learned… when we needed to move again last November, I made sure we had enough cash to hire that job out.

Congrats that the employers finally wised up and offered you the full time spot. Timing could’a been better, but obviously a much improved situation. You’ll find a way to work through the next month I’m sure. That’s what we do: find a way to make things work out.
I already told DW next time we do this we hire a painter and take a week long vacation.

Getting a full time spot is dependent on one becoming available and having enough seniority to get it. The nice thing is once you got it, you can't get bumped off it by someone with more seniority wanting the spot. We have a grandparent for one week and maybe another. For the week we don't have coverage I'm going to pick up a few cases of Red Bull and some of this:
4F816F46-F059-2769-4A89-B3EB175AC639.jpeg

That should cover it.

II'm heading to the Mecca of college football today, Notre Dame ;).
:rolleyes1

Hey quick question, has anyone eaten at Liberty Tree Tavern for dinner? Thoughts?
We love it. Kind of that good, home cooked, family style type of meal. And if you don't leave there full, it is your own fault.

I will have at least two games this year if not three. I should know in a couple of weeks.
Is one of them in Lucas Oil Stadium?

So far the boys have shown zero interest in American football. I think watching a full season might change that. :)
Or it might make them hate it. DW used to at least kind of like football before she was married to me and our TV became permanently tuned into football all fall/winter.

Bad Idea of the Day

There are 2 bad ideas in that picture. The guy doing the cutting and the idiot who stood there that close for long enough to take a picture. :rotfl2::rotfl::lmao:

I have one of those real estate ads for Del Webb at the bottom of my screen this AM. Only in my dreams.

:Or it might make them hate it. DW used to at least kind of like football before she was married to me and our TV became permanently tuned into football all fall/winter.
:

My DW never liked football. But, she lets me watch it. That's good enough for me.

.

You've had a string of good luck. Hope the numbers go through.

Morning Guys and Happy Beer Day.
]

I thought everyday was beer day. Maybe that's just in my house. :lmao:

You want to see a fat guy succeed, watch me at a buffet. :thumbsup2
!

That's a challenge opportunity I will happily accept - who can eat the most at a buffet. As long as it is a good buffet, and not some sort of weird Packer cheese buffet.

I think I speak for us all when I say: Any activity that requires you to actually wear pants is a good thing.:lmao::rotfl2::lmao:

I am so looking forward to retirement and never wearing pants again. :lmao:

: Does anyone actually want to watch the Ravens? Hey, how is Ray Rice doing? :lmao::lmao::lmao:
:

Yeah, no one has asked poor Ray about his hand. His knuckles must be hurting from where his wife repeatedly head-butted his fist. :rolleyes1 :crazy2:

Sunday, October 5th. We have our ticket draft here in a couple if weeks. I get two or three games this year since I only took one last year. I'll let you know if I can score the Ravens game.

That may change the more they get to watch it. Plus, the Colts should be a contender for another decade, which should help make them fans.

Bad Idea of the Day

stupid%20people%2065.jpg

Hey, why did you say clear earlier? :lmao:

Thanks! I'd say it's good to be back, but my momma told me not to tell lies. It was a great time, even with a baby who wasn't a fan of sleeping at night.

And eating your dole whips as well? At least that gives you another reason to buy the at home dole whip making machine. :lmao:

Sounds great, big ND fan here in SEC country - GO IRISH!

I hate ND, but respect the tradition and legacy. I'm mostly annoyed by the fans with blind allegiance and no ties to the school. Overzealous fans annoy me. Which is hypocritical, since I am die hard Steelers fan. :lmao:

I also despise Ohio State and for the most part Penn State.:furious:

Whenever PSU\Ohio State\ND play the other, I generally hope for a tie and that both QB's get hurt. :crutches:

Hey Andy - how's the corn looking this year?

Holy Peanut Butter. Unbelievable.

It has had virtually no stress on it through the growing year. Rains have come at the perfect times. The cool weather 2 or 3 weeks ago hit right when it was pollinating. We really couldn't have asked for more cooperative weather. A little more moisture and heat through the next month or so to finish it off and we should be looking at a record breaker.

Unfortunately, it isn't worth anything. But we'll have a lot of it. :rotfl2::rotfl::lmao:

Looks like a nice light at the end of the tunnel. I hope that you can power your way through work and enjoy all facets of that party.

You want to see a fat guy succeed, watch me at a buffet. :thumbsup2
:lmao:
I may set my phone up on a tripod for my Ohana meal in November. I look like cookie monster with shrapnel flying everywhere as I try to eat everything that lands on my plate.

Could be worse… the kegorator could be busted.
Enjoy the party and HBD to your young’en.

Cool, maybe she can play both employers off each other.

Yah… moving is nasty bit of work. Downsizing just adds to the suffering.

Something else CJ can now look forward to whenever he glances out his front window in the future.

Good to hear.
Not the pittance per bushel part of it (that supply and demand stuff is a real PITA)…

I mean that the weather didn’t punish you this season. Hopefully the yield will be enough to compensate for the down market.

Lucas Oil is considered one of ND's home games this year. Thought that one might be one of your potential games. It will be the last ND/Purdue game until 2020.

It's a beautiful day here in SB, and the sun is shining off the Golden Dome!!
:thumbsup2

Folks either hate 'em or love 'em not much in the middle. Chicago Irish kids born in the 60's & 70's come out of the womb ND fans - or get thrown back until they com to their senses ;) If you have ever seen the movie Rudy, the scene where the whole family is at the house watching the game as if it were a religious event ...........

Used to like the Steelers but Ben and some of his off the field stuff has left a bit of a black cloud over the team for me.
