Was transferring money between accounts and I noticed a $783 charge from Sam's Club. Never been, never intend to go there. Jim and Paul can tell you I am a little lax with my cards but this one is untouchable. Never bring it with me, never use it for online purchases, never, ever, never. The only thing I use it for is for is monthly electronic bill paying. Now that the card is canceled, I have to contact all my regular bills and change it over to a new card when I get it in 5-7 days.

Hope the big a$$ TV they bought with the card gets broken in transit.

That sir, sucks majorly! Hopefully they get the rat B*stards.

That sucks CJ. Hope they catch the punks.
Sorry you have to deal with that.

The TV's doing just fine though. Great picture. :thumbsup2
I thought Norm had CJ's credit card? :confused3

DW and I had some serious debate about this situation.

Our oldest missed part of her homework. There was an assignment to read math sentences aloud. My DD missed that. The teacher asked, "Who did this?"
My DD honestly said that she didn't. So DD lost 100 auction points. Auction points are points the kids get to purchase dollar store type junk\trinkets once a quarter. So not a huge deal by any stretch.
I know darn well that there are kids that said, "Yep, I did it." even though they hadn't.
So the kid that is honest sees her actions as a punishment. IMO, I thought since it's the first full week of school, it warrants a warning. My wife, who grew up with said teacher disagrees with me. I suspect she is blindly agreeing with the teacher.

Regardless, I will tell my daughter that I'm proud of her for telling the truth and that karma will take care of the liars.

That should be a fun game to go to. I've always wanted to see a game at the Swamp. A few years ago we were in St. Pete the weekend of the Florida/FSU game there. I really wanted to make the drive up there to see the game, but DW won that one. :headache:

I love watching college football and experiencing the atmosphere at some of the different stadiums... whether it is a team I like or not. Florida, Alabama, LSU, Clemson, Michigan, Nebraska, OSU, USC and Oregon are top of the list of places I've never seen a game but would love to. I could probably add about another dozen to the list if I'd sit here and think about it for another 10 minutes.

I've been to Notre Dame, Wisconsin and Oklahoma. So I've crossed a few of the big time college football atmospheres off my list, but I've got a long way to go!

Those are some good places to go but you haven't lived until you go to a Florida/Georgia game in Jacksonville. I would like to visit Oxford, Baton Rouge and Knoxville one of these days. Florida is a great place to watch a game. When my parents were alive, we would go up a number of times a year. Even afternoon or night games, we would get there at like 7-8 AM, break out the grill and have breakfast. Another guy would bring a 100 gallon sized, homemade grill and cook out. A third guy worked for the cable company and hooked up a cable outlet where we parked and bring a large TV so we would watch the early games. Bourbon or in my mom's case, Seagrams 7 would be prevalent. The best was when they confiscated her booze during a game. Fun times.

Sorry you have to deal with that.

The TV's doing just fine though. Great picture. :thumbsup2

Too bad you didn't order it earlier and have it for the Miami game.

Sorry to hear that CJ, hope they catch them.

Thanks guys. I have a feeling it was someone from the place where I have a storage locker. I talk to the fraud people tomorrow. Don't worry Norm, I trust you. Besides, it wasn't for something Disney related.

Sorry to hear CJ. The Patriors game will look good on it this weekend though, I'm sure.

Tough call. I can see both sides. For one the teacher really has to have some recourse for a student who admittedly didn't complete the assignment, but I totally see what you mean by it encouraging lies.

I think you're doing right to applaud and encourage your DD to do the right thing. I think the teacher could be setting up a system that can easily be corrupted if this is how homework assignments will be evaluated going forward. By the end of the year there might be 1 or 2 students actually doing the work but they'll all day they did...

Good morning gentlemen,

We got the first email home about behavior yesterday. Peanut wasn't listening to instructions. We are totally shocked that it took this long.

I'm going to dust off my old teaching cap and put it back on. The teacher should have never asked that question because there is no way to verify it. Now she just taught her students that lying helps you get ahead. Good job teaching that honesty is the best policy and that karma will take care of the rest.

Cassel is not going to light the world on fire and carry the whole team on his back. However, if you put talent around him and are not relying on him to score 40 points every game he's a fine QB. If Paterson can come of age quickly, you have two receivers, plus a damn good Tight End to stretch the defense. That should give one of the most dangerous running backs in NFL history room to do some serious damage as the game wears on. And the defense is night and day different from last year. I don't see them getting run over every game like last year.

What are you thinking for a wager? I won't be to a park in at least a year.

He never got a fair shot here because we have Brady. He always seemed like a down to earth guy as well as a good football player. Hopefully you guys will stick with him and give him a chance to show what he can do.

Pick the prize. If the Vikings win, I'll send something from the area here. Try to find something cool. You do the same. Nothing expensive or crazy. Just a little fun and a surprise to the winner.

Cassell is pretty good. Took us to an 11-5 season. Hope he gets a good shot up there.

That's why I was asking. I always liked him and while not top 5, think he's better than a lot of the so called franchise QB's I have been seeing. Philip Rivers on Monday night was horrific.

Sorry about that CJ. I just had to cancel one of my cards as well. We got back from Disney, but apparently my credit card number stayed in FL. There were 4 charges that the cc company picked up on and so we had to cancel and reissue.

It looks like Paul beat to to the wise crack.

Sorry you have to deal with that.

I can see both sides, but not sure you can reward a student for not doing what was asked. The penalty seems to be pretty minor and the reward is that you got an awesome kid there that was raised right. How about everyone accepts the loss of 100 points and you take that little princess out for ice cream! Treats with dad are always better than crap from the dollar store.:thumbsup2

Too bad you didn't order it earlier and have it for the Miami game.

Touche.

He's a bit of fan favorite here. Like you said, very likeable and down to earth. He also got crapped on by the previous regime. We all know Bridgewater is the future and Cassle is a caretaker but its his job to lose this year.

Sounds like a plan. I know something truly Minnesotan that you New Englanders can't make.

Make sure you guys decide if you're betting on the point spread. Especially if you're betting something crazy like Dole Whips for Life. :headache:

I finished up our door magnets for our 3 night on the Disney Magic in October. For your viewing pleasure:

Since we're on the Magic, we went with the theme of Magical Characters. We were debating whether or not Hades qualified as magic vs power of the Gods, but they're my magnets so I get to make the decision.

The teacher needs a better system of checking the assignment. But your daughter should only be concerned with what she controls. Being honest is the right thing, even if it hurts in the short term. My experience is that liars are eventually exposed over the long haul.

I do. I thought Sam's only takes debit cards.

So, the teacher is training future politicians? Be sure to lie about your lack of accomplishments.

I guess since you didn't do my magnet, you're not taking me on this trip.

Well, the cruise is still a surprise for the kids. So if you want to hold out hope, you can assume we're keeping is as a surprise from you as well.

Our Sam's club only takes debit cards. I hope you get it sorted out.
Sam's has a deal with Mastercard. Not sure if they take all Mastercards or just their branded one. They might take Discover card as well.
