And that reminds me....

Last night was curriculum night at our daughters' school. The 1st grade teacher was going over the usual stuff and came to the agenda where they talk about unique school events...concerts, field trips, etc.
We have one that's called Farmer's breakfast. The kids often come in wearing farm theme attired like overalls or girls come in with pig tails. The Teachers and parents cook up eggs, bacon and toast. this year.....

NO BACON :furious:

She cited kids with religious beliefs and kids eating too much.

I was very sad. I respect religious beliefs but c'mon, no one is forcing a slab of bacon down a kid's throat!
As for kids eating too many pieces and getting ill, yeah, more than likely that would have been my 6 yo. :rotfl2:

Now that the meeting has been fomally called into session...

I think I've found where those flip flops got off to...

Breathe man, just breathe. If you remember, the last time they lost the season opener everyone was calling for the Hoodie to be fired and saying we were screwed because he cut Lawyer Milloy. We then went on to win the Super Bowl (and did it again the next year). No need to panic.

It's not panic or stressing, it's the reality of seeing both lines get beat all game. The Dolphins are not one of the teams with premiere O or D lines and they won the line of scrimmage all day. I did check out Tommy Kelly last night and boy I wish we could get players like that.:headache: I think losing the O line coach and then Mankins is going to hurt a lot.

Defensively, they will never play to their strength if they can't stop the run. Just in case you didn't get the read the name on the back of that jersey as he was running through the gaping hole in the D line, it was "Moreno". Yup the same one that couldn't get 3 yards a carry in Denver.

My question still holds. Does 10-6 win the AFC East? I would have guessed 12-4 or even 13-3 at the start. Now I think they will struggle against some of the non-division opponents like the Vikings, Broncos, Chicago, Indie, Detroit. They no longer have the personnel to run the 3-4 D, but will continue to run it anyway.

Hey guys, hope every one is doing great! received our first magic bands today! Other then work and fatherhood, not a lot has been going on. Norm, will see y'all in less then a month, and a few other dads, hopefully we can all meet up.

On Ray Rice, personally I don't know what has changed since he was suspended 2 games, he still beat his fiancee, but now that there's video out about it he's out of the league, should of done that in the first place.

Good Morning Philip! We got the email that ours were shipped yesterday.:cool1: Now to make sure I get to the mailbox first every day to keep DD from seeing the box.

All I can say, similar to other dads, is that if it was my daughter there would be no body found. There's a lot of ocean a few miles from my house.

Any crafty veterans of the MVMCP? :listen:

Last year Norm dropped tons of knowledge on me about MNSSHP and it paid off in spades for my family and friends.

The MVMCP is foreign territory for me. We are doing it the last Friday that we are there, which also happens to be the inaugural night for the event and the Osborne Family Christmas Lights at DHS.

The strategies for both parties are pretty similar. Watch the late parade as it is less crowded. Do the rides and meets during the first parade. Wishes is a MUST. I'll look back at what we did and shoot over some ideas. We haven't been in a couple of years and I'm sure there are a couple things that have changed.

Not a vet of MVMCP, but as a tribute to my coworker that passed away last month. His advice to me about MVMCP was "do not taste the snow!, it's soap!" Lol

First hand account. DS was 7 the first year we went to MVMCP. He ran around catching the snow. Once he realized it was not "cold", he tried to wipe it off an just went "wwww, it's slippery".:lmao::rotfl2::lmao: Don't think he tasted it, but our next stop was the bathroom to wash his hands.

Evening...been low key the last week with family and work ,getting back into the routines. Prayers, congrats and Welcomes to any and all who need them.

Welcome back Brent. Is it snowing up there yet?:lmao::lmao:

Morning guys. I am one week into beard watch 2014. I had a decent one last year, but shaved when we got our first false travel date. DW hasn't complained yet, so hopefully in a few months I'll have an awesome beard like my hero Randall!!

Tried that last week. Both DW and DD requested to have it removed.

You should have rallied the dads to protect the event with "bacon for all" signs.:thumbsup2

At least they are using a power strip in case so they don't blow a fuse.:thumbsup2

Good morning!

The BiG did not have a good weekend, but they announced the sanctions on Penn. State are over. Last year, Florida learned not to take the fans for granted. Season tickets held OK but the students said, Meh. Looked at how they were doing things across the board and made a lot of changes to enhance fan experience. One thing that helps is scoring 65 points in their "opening" game. It was a while since I went to a UF game but bought tickets for the LSU game couple of weeks ago. We will be in Orlando, nothing planned to do on Saturday, so the idea is to drive up, watch the game and then drive back. Looking forward to it.
That should be a fun game to go to. I've always wanted to see a game at the Swamp. A few years ago we were in St. Pete the weekend of the Florida/FSU game there. I really wanted to make the drive up there to see the game, but DW won that one. :headache:

I love watching college football and experiencing the atmosphere at some of the different stadiums... whether it is a team I like or not. Florida, Alabama, LSU, Clemson, Michigan, Nebraska, OSU, USC and Oregon are top of the list of places I've never seen a game but would love to. I could probably add about another dozen to the list if I'd sit here and think about it for another 10 minutes.

I've been to Notre Dame, Wisconsin and Oklahoma. So I've crossed a few of the big time college football atmospheres off my list, but I've got a long way to go!

I just...I mean...Wow.

By the way, I saw your note about posting a certain picture (not of me) as the bad idea. Keep reminding me and I'll be glad to do so.

Yeah beard. I've had some type of facial hair for 20 years. It's my attempt to fix ugly. :lmao:

Ok. Pass the bacon.

That sounds like communism.

I think I've found where those flip flops got off to...

The flip flops provide the ground to prevent electrocution.

Good afternoon gentlemen.

I rocked out the Honey Do List yesterday thinking I've more time to screw around today. She added a half dozen items to it. Nothing major just frustrating. :headache:

I told my wife I'm doing the six month bread this year after I frost bit the non fuzzy parts last winter. We'll see how that goes.

And those same kids will get the peperoni on pizza day. :sad2:

Watch it bud. We've got snow forecasted for Northern Minnesota this week.
I think I'm one of the furthest North of all the Dads.

Hmmm.....I was thinking about you Minnesotans. How do you like Matt Cassell. Not bag huh? With the game coming up this weekend, maybe you'd like to wager on the game. I already owe CJ, why not you too?

Cassel is not going to light the world on fire and carry the whole team on his back. However, if you put talent around him and are not relying on him to score 40 points every game he's a fine QB. If Paterson can come of age quickly, you have two receivers, plus a damn good Tight End to stretch the defense. That should give one of the most dangerous running backs in NFL history room to do some serious damage as the game wears on. And the defense is night and day different from last year. I don't see them getting run over every game like last year.

What are you thinking for a wager? I won't be to a park in at least a year.

Cassell is pretty good. Took us to an 11-5 season. Hope he gets a good shot up there.

Peanut Butter, Beverly, Beverly, Beverly, Peanut Butter, F'ing Beverly, Peanut Butter, Peanut Butter.

Was transferring money between accounts and I noticed a $783 charge from Sam's Club. Never been, never intend to go there. Jim and Paul can tell you I am a little lax with my cards but this one is untouchable. Never bring it with me, never use it for online purchases, never, ever, never. The only thing I use it for is for is monthly electronic bill paying. Now that the card is canceled, I have to contact all my regular bills and change it over to a new card when I get it in 5-7 days.

Hope the big a$$ TV they bought with the card gets broken in transit.

Sorry you have to deal with that.

The TV's doing just fine though. Great picture. :thumbsup2
