Morning guys. Sorry I couldn't post a pic here, stupid photobucket.

Norm, don't you have a "beach" at DVC???

Played tennis again yesterday. That makes twice in four days. I have parts of me that I didn't even know could hurt. I wonder how many ibuprofen one can take in an hour, er um, day. I'm too old for this .....

Come on Norm, the beach isn't so bad, Since y'all are DVC I don't know if I would cancel days at BWV, the trip in May that I am currently planning in my head, I'm thinking a drive to the beach day is in order. But if they are thinking of waking up at the beach, can't help ya there.
.

The two of them want to cancel some of the days for the October trip and do a split stay. So far, youngest dd is with me and wants to stay at WDW. Their proposal was to do 4 days at BWV (since I already bought the MNSSHP tickets) and then and then drive down to Vero Beach Resort for Wed and Thurs. Worse yet, VBR has opening for those two days, so all it takes is a call to MS and change them over.

Norm, don't you have a "beach" at DVC???

My statement exactly. My oldest dd's reply was that you can't get in the water at WDW beaches. I referenced the pool, but she wasn't happy with that one.

‘Morning all…
Hope all is well out there.

Gonn’a be a long busy day; may not get back over here
(so far as my overlords know anyway).

Another winner breakfast at Kona. I tried something new, the Eggs Benedict with pulled pork hash. The Pirate Princess had, what else, the Tonga Toast.

Also ran into this guy...

Off to the pool in a bit when the kid wakes up from a nap.

Ahhh the life of CJ. The hardest thing you had to do that day was run into Randall ad WDW.
We should all be so unfortunate.
Hope the rest of the trip was as good as the first of it.

Having a wonderful time. Wish you were here.

Yah we all wish we were there as well.

Quite the Photo Bomb there by the way.

Morning nemesis and everyone else.

There is a chance the rest of the family could be home a week from today! If the Embassy can process our paperwork fairly quickly, we could get authorization to leave on Friday :). We have known for awhile, but on Friday we received the official court decree granting the adoption. I'll post a pic soon, but I'd like to introduce the four new ducklings:

Thomas Victor
Simon David
Sara Olivia
Maria Aurelia

Thank you guys for all your support, prayers and good vibes. Long live the DISDads!

Glad to officially meet the new recruits.
May they get there soon and may the settling in part of the move go as well as possible.

Glad I'm not the only one who noticed that. :rotfl2:

Kind’a hard to miss…
:lmao:

Brilliant!

That may need to be an official DisDad recruiting picture.

Morning Guys.

Sitting in the airport waiting to board a flight to Montreal. We got back from DS's successful soccer weekend in Halifax last night. His team played a couple of friendlies and came away with two wins. He played well and set up the 3rd goal yesterday with a nice cross. Nice way for him to get involved in his first games of the season .

Going back to see what you were all up to over the weekend.

Congrats on the news David.

Randal, great timing on that selfie. How many tries did it take?

:rotfl2:

Norm, I hope you haven't run out of ibuprofen.

Good morning. Why does Monday have to keep coming back week after week? :confused3

Why don't you look into that :rotfl2:

My statement exactly. My oldest dd's reply was that you can't get in the water at WDW beaches. I referenced the pool, but she wasn't happy with that one.

Hey there are kids in third world countries who don't have access to pools. Tell her its a 1st world problem get over it :lmao:

It really sucks to leave Disney. All we kept saying was, "See you in October." Took some of the sting away. Ride home was uneventful except around Ft. Pierce I remembered I left money in the safe. Called the Boardwalk and they were going to retrieve it, put it towards my room charges and refund the credit card. I'll post some pics of the trip later.

Good looking family you have there Duck. After following your long odyssey to bring these kids into your family, I can't wait till they get here. Happy and safe travels to them all.

If you do go to the beach, I won't have to pay off my bets, so I am Ok with that. Not really a fan of beaches. The only time I like salt water is when I am diving. Last time I was at Vero, my swimming was confined to the pool.

Disney has this place called Typhoon Lagoon which has a wave pool. You can get the thrill of getting creamed by a big wave there and you don't come out of the water feeling like a big salt lick. You could also get an ambient noise app that will play waves hitting the beach so they can pretend they are there.

Thanks Rob, it was a great trip. I know it is rough but someone has to do it. Not much going on here though until my Brit dive buddy comes down next week and the kid and I join him and a couple of other friends for a few days in the Keys.

After the crummy start of the year, I decided this summer was going to be fun. As long as the bills are paid and we want to do something, we are going to do it. Carpe Diem.

Good morning Dads. To those at DaWorld currently, enjoy and safe travels and we need more pics. Got on mutha of a week facing me at work but will try to check in during the evenings to stay current.

There is a disturbance in the force. DW and oldest dd want to cancel days at the BWV in lieu of the beach. The beach?
VB is not a bad a place to hang out for a couple of days if this is the route you go. Just remind DW & DD that to sit on the beach at Vero you have to rent the chairs and umbrellas. We did a week at Vero cause DW & DD "wanted a beach vacation." Me & DS have gotten into the ladies head that a day at Typhoon Lagoon is like a beach day in the tropics so maybe give that a try to avoid having to transfer from BWV to VB.

Great minds think alike :thumbsup2

As if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror, and were suddenly silenced. I fear something terrible might happen. :yoda:

Apparently there may still be a little magic left in the Year of Chris. For years I had planned on taking my kids to WDW with just me when they were 12. But since we have APs this year we may change that to a trip when they are 10. The APs expire on 12/15. I'd like to cram in one more family trip in December, but my wife's schedule makes that an impossibility. Instead DD #1 and I had the great idea of just the two of us taking a long weekend in early December. That would make 5 trips in a calendar year! I'll probably never do that again, but man that sounds fun. We pitched it to DW yesterday and she didn't say no. It just might happen!!

Morning guys. Hope everyone's off to a good start of the week... Busy week at work here; need to hit the lottery or get adopted by CJ so I can exit the rat race... ;)

Forgot about the chairs. We've been to that resort before and packed chairs and large floats. Not sure we'd bring them for two days. That could be an argument winner.

You heard them two. Eerie.

A nothing answer is better than no, or let's go to the beach.

You can quit now. Or, I guess you prefer having a home and food.

Norm, I hope you haven't run out of ibuprofen.

Not yet. Soon.

:rotfl: He even cut out part of his own portrait in order to frame it properly. :thumbsup2

:lmao: :rotfl: :lmao:

Did Randall say, "excuse me ma'am, would you mind tilting your butt to the left. I can only cut so much of out of the picture to get it in the frame. Thanks, and have a magical day".

Hey there are kids in third world countries who don't have access to pools. Tell her its a 1st world problem get over it :lmao:

That's sure to win the argument.

True. There is Holiday World less than an hour away that features a large wave pool as well. I'm stalling in hopes the inventory will be booked and it won't be an option.

That would be pretty cool!

She's a girl, you can win this argument :rotfl2:

:worship:

Buy a lottery ticket, too, just in case.

:rotfl2: This version works so well, I'm going to be disappointed if it didn't happen that way.

You keep saying things like that and nobody will believe you're a state employee. :rotfl2:

Well, we really wanted to get the work done so we didn't have to come in on the weekend. :rotfl:
