Good Evening, Gentlemen

Working again/still. Took the morning off and slept until 9 and then went to church. Been a busy day and the start of a busier week. 5 reports pressing, 3 presentations, more strawberry picking and a cover crop demonstration to get out on top of the usual "emergencies" that people send my way.

I did remember to get flowers ordered for SWMBO. Will be 19 years for us this week. :scared1: All of you enjoying the fermented beverages have one for me.

Congrats to Declan and team! Way to finish out the season. I always enjoyed playing volleyball, and watching the women play volleyball as well. :rotfl:

Brent, as long as you have those memories of your dad to share with your family he is still a part of you.

Congratulations on the 19 years and good job for sending those flowers. Otherwise, you would have had that red stapler & TPS reports filed in a special place. :lmao:

It was a good time. Next time we can stay at the wine bar and drink port while all the kids pick the fields.

Good plan. We can put the eight kids to work and we can supervise them while drinking.

So my plan of confusing everyone into drinking is working. Excellent.
I am working at home but I plan on drinking thru it.

Never confused me. I'll have another beer.

Come on over and I'll get some steaks to put on the grill. Not a good sports day in Miami, Heat and Marlins losing badly. Would rather sit outside with my feet up, sip some good bourbon and enjoy the weather.

Wish I could join you. Heat just could not get it rolling today. Steaks and bourbon sound great. I'm rocking a turkey sandwich and Landshark beer.

Norm, for some odd reason I just read that Kentucky Kingdom reopens Saturday, had no clue, being 2 hrs away I figured I would of seen a commercial or something. Had y'all heard about it? Def going to plan an overnight trip up there at some point.

Hadn't heard anything about it. I'd heard of two different bids from different groups over the years, but nothing definite. You've heard as much as I have.

That's really odd, we are now searching KY krogers because they offer season tickets at $70, 2 visits and they are paid for.

Made a meal today that probably would be frowned on in the health field, but as a Dis Dad meal it would be a dinner of champions:confused3

- Hatsfield Ham Steaks
- French Fries
- Salad
- 1lb Bacon

never had bacon with ham before, it is true everything goes with bacon even if it is another part of the pig:thumbsup2

:confused3 Locals over here have been talking about it since the contract was awarded. Guess we need entertainment more than the rest of you.

No beer this weekend, this is not a real big drinking house, plus all my supply is 3 hours away. :sad1: Almost grabbed a six pack while over the border (at a grocery store as I was appalled by the prices of imports in Frankenmuth.) Anyone try the Moose Drool Brown Ale? Suddenly all the places I saw Yuengling in don't carry it. Weird.

I do though have some dark cherry fudge I want to try.

Thank you. It's been a surprisingly rough weekend in that regard, I've come across a lot of things that stirred up memories I didn't expect being away from home. Slowly I'm coming to terms.

I approve of this dinner. Also: now I'm hungry. :thumbsup2

Lol, I loved going to Kentucky Kingdom as a teen, I know this isn't six flags but from the map it looks like DD and I would have a blast taking a very day or overnight trips up. During my research I also didn't know it briefly tried to reopen in 2009 as well, very excited about this find, means I can get some thrill rides and water park work in before next WDW trip.

If anyone is going to be at WDW June 13,14,15 let me know, maybe we can meet up:confused3, We will be in at least 3 parks a day so chances are good our paths will cross :cool1: Though we are never in one spot too long:crazy2:

Did the salad have bacon bits???
Ahh, and fry the fries in lard. Makes the best fries ever!

Holiday World is closer here so we get all their commercials.

Good morning!

Morning guys.

Norm I agree, I don't like park hopping either. We did it a couple of times and it seemed the traveling time between parks was long. That was when we went in May and June though. I think we have decided that after Labor Day is our favorite. The longest wait we had for anything last trip was 15 minutes on Everest.
I agree with your logic, but I've always traveled with at least 1 or 2 others in our group who want to head back to the resort for a mid day break. If we're leaving anyway, I kind of enjoy getting to do the best of a couple of parks in a day. And when you reach that point later in the week that you've covered all you want in one park, you can head over to see fireworks in another or hang out in the World Showcase for a few hours or whatever you want. It really depends how you want to tour the parks, but there are definite benefits both ways.

If you are headed to S. Florida this week, the weather will be fantastic. Little chance of rain, sunny but not overly hot and humid. Lots of wind though. I would be tempted to drive down to the Keys but the diving would suck. Six to eight foot seas at the reefs. No sense getting bashed around on the boat. We do have a Great White making her way down south. Her name is Katherine and was tagged in the Northeast. Yesterday she was in Miami and is probably in the Keys right now. Would be cool to see her.
Didn't I see some video last week about somebody diving near Miami fighting a great white off with a spear fishing gun?

Thanks for the nice weather. A warm welcome to the Pacers when they get to town. :thumbsup2

Good luck with all your work. And congratulations on 19 years.

I've heard it. Looks like the guy who owned it before Six Flags is opening it back up. Kind of lacking in thrill rides though... only 2 non-kiddie coasters now. But I've seen that they have 2 more scheduled to open over the next 2 years so I'm glad to see that they're putting money into it.

Morning Guys.

A rainy holiday Monday here, looks like another quiet day.

I think I saw the same video. The guy had a spear gun and used it to tap and warn off Katherine. The thing about sharks is bites are rare and it is usually by mistake. "Hey, you are not a seal, yuck." The sharks you see most down here are nurse sharks. Pretty docile and I have come pretty close to them. Not saying I would not be nervous with more aggressive sharks, bulls, hammerheads..., but I feel if I gave them space, they would leave me alone. To see a Great White in the wild would be cool. I admit though that I would need to change my wet suit after the encounter.

I was waiting for you or the Duck to comment on the game. The Heat's defense was horrible and Indy was shooting lights out. If that continues, Miami is done. Don't think it will though. Going to be an interesting and I think fun series. These teams don't like each other.

I've posted this before but I really like this picture.

Don't worry. The Pacers clearly can't play 2 solid games back to back in the playoffs this year. :headache:

I have to say though... the effort and the fight appeared to be back in them yesterday. I haven't seen that at all in the playoffs. I guess the fact that they're playing a team that they clearly don't like helps in that regard.

::yes::

Good Morning everyone!

Southwest opened up their flights through January this morning, my December dates are $109 each way (boy do I miss those $49 dings :lmao: )

We're trying to figure out the best flight to take down, we have a choice of 7:30 or 9:00- both are non-stop. I'm leaning towards the 7:30 as it will probably be less crowded, and more of a chance of an empty 3rd seat for the baby :thumbsup2

I am a parkhopper, of course my wife and I are both nappers, so we always head back to the resort for a midday break. At that point we just like going to a different park :)

Morning, men! And you, too, Randall :wave2:

Next week this time we'll be on a plane to MCO for 5 days of non-Disney stuff. Hope the weather is a replay of this week's forecast... looks gorgeous!
