Darn, fell asleep in the intermission after the 1st ot period; did the Habs win?

Your funny. It was a great game, but really frustrating to watch at times. As usual, B's drop first game at home. Congrats on winning the first battle. We'll still win the war though.

Damn, it's hard keeping up here lately. Morning all....

Good Morning Brent.:wave2: Feel free to send some of that beer over tonight. It's been a long week.

Friday night would be better, but we'll take what we can get. Heading to Portland, ME this weekend for baseball. Hoops at Boston University tomorrow. Should be another busy weekend.

It was that kind of a game... Don't blame you for falling asleep... ;)

Good win though, heck of a game. :thumbsup2

Morning guys.

Disney just announced the official opening of the mine train will be on May 28, just in time for our trip. I am sure soft openings will be before that date.

Let's hope they have some over the next week...

Oh yeah, I'm headed to wdw today. That is all. :cool1:

Boston certainly carried the play but Montreal made the best of their chances. I hope this will be a great series.

Good luck with the games. DS has to miss a soccer friendly to play in a U13 basketball tournament. I expect his team to not do well but I told him to go out and play his best and do what he can do.

:thumbsup2+1 Have fun storming the castle. Make sure you leave some for the rest of us.

Good luck to Declan as well. We always try to make sure the kids just go play as hard as possible and whatever happens happens.:good vibes

You have to remember I live in the future, it was later here. :lmao:

Have a great trip!

Yeah, :rotfl2: they always have:rotfl2:tickets available.:rotfl2: We have been sold out since 1993. We also win our games too.:lmao::lmao:
1993? Awwww....that's cute. The Packers have sold out since 1960.

So I live in the panhandle and I had to deal with all the rain from The other day. Now I am in a real Beverly position. My job is a job where we work 24/7. So when I got a call I was not surprised with the down pour I had to go in. What I didn't know is how flooded my neighborhood was. I made it to base and they would not let me on.... I should have gone with my gut and not tried to make it home. I decided to head home I made it to the entrance of my neighborhood and my car stopped working. I was just able to get it towed today to the dealership. After I waited to hear what happened to it. It turns out I have a hole in the bottom of my engine. Lucky me.

I'm gonna try to get the AF to reimburse me for the insurance deductible because if it were not for my job my car would be fine.

Now some pictures for your viewing pleasure the first few are of my neighbor hood where at one point in the center of the road it was up to my knees.
The others are of the area near me.
Yikes! Glad you're Ok. Did you try to duct tape the hole in the engine? You might need 3 or 4 layers for a job like that...

Sorry to hear about your car. Really bad up there these past couple of days.

Enjoy the trip and safe travels. They ran it last night for all the bloggers and press. Hope the gods are in your favor and you get to ride it.

Changed one of my Fast passes so we get to ride it in June. Disney let it out that since they put it on the Fast passes queue, 50,000 were reserved. I had lots of busy server notices until I was able to log in.

Have a great trip Paul! Post some pictures from Germany. You know, if you happen to get over to that area.

Thanks Barry! It'll be tough, but I'll try to make it to Germany at least once (an hour)... ;)

Having fun with time zones. I dream about time traveling, where I can go back and have that butterfly effect where good stuff happens, but doesn't change everything.

But, as I heard it explained on the Big Bang TV show, there can't be any time traveling in the future as they would already be here now.

Disney just announced the official opening of the mine train will be on May 28, just in time for our trip. I am sure soft openings will be before that date.

Speaking of time traveling, I was ticked that I missed an early registration time frame on dds basketball camp. After your post, I realized it is now just the beginning of May. I need a drink.

‘Purtty…
Like I said, rainy days in the parks are better than no days in the parks.
And it didn’t even rain on you…
And you got free booze…
.

1 out of those 3 would be better than my Thursday.

Really? You played on funky green carpet for years under a "roof" that couldn't hold a little bit of snow. Enjoy your next two years on that college field while your state tries to figure out how to pay for a billionaire to have a new revenue stream.

Yeah, I went there. And there. And that other one may cut a little deep, but yeah, I went there too. :thumbsup2

Not that I care about this Vikings and Packers thing, but if it weren't so cold, I'd move to Barry's fantasyland.

How's that work? Since the Packers are owned by you sconnies, then everyone received a dividend check when you won the Superbowl? No one makes money off the Packets since you all share the wealth equally? Since the owners of a franchise get a championship ring, would you post yours?

Now, in KY, we don't have any pro teams or billionaire owners. So, we give our college coaches Million$ and raise tuition 10% a year. So there. :lmao: Pitino did get a championship ring for the priest that traveled with the team.

The team is owned by about 200,000 or so shareholders. It's not like owning common stock in normal company. The put several restrictions on the stock - you can't sell it, but it can be passed down to you heirs in your will. It pays no dividends, and since you can't sell it, it never appreciates in value. What it does get you is a vote to elect the board of directors, which elects the executive board, which hires all of the team personnel from the team president to the general manager. You also get into the shareholders meeting at Lambeau, which really isn't all that exciting (by law, they have to have annual meetings and hold the elections and all the standard boring stuff) The do usually debut the previous year's highlight video at the meeting, and the head coach usually makes an address.
When the team won the Super Bowl a few years ago, they released replica championship rings that any fan could buy, but stockholders were allowed to purchase specific rings that said "owner" or something like that.
When the team does issue stock (it's only happened 5 or 6 times in their history), it's not meant as an investment in the normal way of thinking about it. The team uses it to raise funds (for stadium expansion, for example) and people buy into it because they're fans and they want to be closer to the team.
I think that the team by-laws say that if the team were to ever be sold and move to a different city, all the proceeds go to a local Boys and Girls Club or something. Not like that will ever happen.

I say it all the time. My Fridays are your Mondays.

Darn, fell asleep in the intermission after the 1st ot period; did the Habs win?
I used to care about hockey until our owner moved the Whalers out of town. I stopped following it after that.

Thanks! I will... :thumbsup2
Safe travels!

They probably do it at the stadium 2nd week of February. Sure to get a packed house for that.

Where are you going?
Apparently Germany. :confused3 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1
