Back from first communion for a DW's cousin's child. This was in Jasper, IN, an older German Catholic town. The Mass had the Knights of Columbus lead in the procession, and under raised swords, the children processed in. Upon exit, all of the first communion families, seated in the center, were able to follow the procession out under the raised swords. If I can get a picture, then'll post it. It was a first for me.

Just a note, 17 years ago today Yehaa Bob first took the stage at Riverside. Thinking we may visit him again this upcoming trip. If you haven't seen it, he puts on a great show.

I still have never seen that show. There is just so much to do in WDW.

May the 4th be with my fellow Disdads! In celebration I finally broke down and bought the saga, preparing to watch in Machete Order, 4,5,2,3,6 for the first time.

Have fun watching the saga.

That sounds really cool:thumbsup2, never heard of a communion like that:confused3, swords are really cool to 7 & 8yr old boys:thumbsup2

My son is so lucky, we found out that the local minor league baseball team (Blueclaws) this Thurs is having Mountain Man from Duck Dynasty taking pics & signing autographs  I always have to work 1 late night till 8 and it's always Thurs:headache: I'm really thinking about calling out:scratching

My son wants to see him so my wife is taking him, somehow I don't think she will have the same reaction to the meet that I would

Evening all…
The praise band I play with worked a fundraise for underprivileged young’ens yesterday. They raised a decent amount from the locals (and us). Although someone thought it best to put our highly amplified progressive rock band in between a couple of crooners and two bluegrass outfits. Not quite what the small town locals were anticipating. We played well and even succeeded in getting the cops called on us.
I’ll chalk that up as a win.

What part of SC you live in any where near shaw?

A bit more than an hour and half to the northwest of there. When traveling I’m generally headed either farther north or west so I don’t get down that direction very often. If for some reason I find myself headed down toward Columbia though, then it wouldn’t be all that far out of the way.

Crazy... Wanna come?:confused3

We're sitting outside our room at port Orleans French quarter right now looking over the river. Great place, our first time here.

Already crazy, just ask my wife.
The Orleans resorts are both great but we have a soft spot for the Quarter. Envy, envy envy…
Enjoy the Dis time. Sure wish we were down there.

Morning. Rough night, in a lot of pain with a toothache. Figures. Tried to catch up this morning, feels like I missed a lot of prayers to go out. Hope everyone's weekend's a good one.

Don’t be worryin’ about us too much. Seems we should be keepin’ you in mind.
Sorry you’re hurting; may that get better quickly.

Good morning from Warsaw. Slept a whole 12 hours last night. I never do that, but I was in daddy mode for the middle flight so I only had an hour nap.

It was raining when we arrived so we didn't get to do much but relax. We are staying with friends here and then we head up north on Monday. We did have pizza for lunch and it was delicious.

Today we are going sightseeing in Old Town which was rebuilt after WWII to exactly the way it was before it was destroyed. Most of the areas we have seen still ring of communist design and blah effect.
Looking forward to meeting our kids on Tuesday!

The great adventure has begun. May the good start be an auspicious sign.
We’re all behind you sir and we’re still keeping you in mind as you embark on this journey.

And with you as well. Enjoy the marathon.
Surprising that none of the telle channels around here are airing any of those films.
Seems like a missed opertunity.

FYI, this dude looks like Paul with a mustache...

it DOES look like Paul with a Mustache! Queue someone with a picture of paul and good photoshop abilities! :thumbsup2

My new goal in life is to grow that mustache. :rotfl2:

Might try to see it on weds. Was Planning on heading over to see him last night, but we drank too much wine on the lanai and bagged it. :)

The weekend is never long enough ownage.

Good morning.

My new goal in life is to grow that mustache. :rotfl2:
. :)

It's always good to have goals. I've had some type of beard/ goatee now for 20 years. Maybe I shouldn't have trimmed it all those years.

Good morning guys. Me and DW are now waiting as DD was just taken to the surgery room. Gonna be a long haul for her this summer with rehab and no weight bearing for 6 weeks which means no driving. Gonna be 8-10 weeks before full weight bearing. Positive thoughts that all goes as planned today with her surgery. And remember, every Monday means 1 week closer to your next Disney trip.

Yikes! Glad you're Ok. Did you try to duct tape the hole in the engine? You might need 3 or 4 layers for a job like that...

:lmao::lmao:

Wow... that's a long rehab time. Praying for a good outcome!

20 days til our Non-Disney, Orlando vacation. This is quite confusing trying to figure out what to do without having to make ADRs or park-hop. :confused3

We did finally agree to make reservations for the Sleuths Mystery Dinner Show. Got a really good discount on tickets and figured why not? Emma is going to love it.

Sounds like fun!

I don't know how you do it.....

I'd have a problem with being in Orlando and not getting my Disney fix somehow! :thumbsup2

It does sound like fun! Hope it's not too cheesy... or PG13!

Well... this is a first for me, too. May have to sneak to DTD at some point :rotfl:

If you go to DTD - get there early, or else you'll have a hard time finding a place to park.

My in-laws were there last week and got there early enough to get a parking spot....they said later in the day it was a mess to get in there.

Morning Guys,

Welcome the May 5th!

Declan's basketball team won their last game in the tournament yesterday and he was named player of the game. He played well all weekend, pretty proud of him and how much he has improved this winter.

We made it home in time for me to go play soccer in the pouring rain and today I feel like crap. Two games so far and not a nice night to play yet. That's the curse of playing on turf fields, the games are never cancelled except for lightning,

Going back to see if I missed anything, have a good one.

That's my plans for every day. 6 weeks on the couch. :lmao:

Continued prayers for your dd.

Sounds interesting. We do ADRs for park days, but last trip, we intentionally left some non-park days blank. While we were there, we added a last minute ADR @ Kona and then went to TOTWL for Wishes. DW enjoyed it so much, we scheduled the ADR 6 months out for October. So much for spontaneity. Still, we have one open non-park day so far this trip.

Yeah... we've done the DTD parking lot roulette a few times before when renting a car. Takes a little patience and a good navigator to find a spot when it's busy. :lmao:

That sounds like a good evening right there. We have yet to visit TOTWL. Will have to pencil that in the plans for the next WDW trip. :thumbsup2

Morning all…
Started out kind’a quiet around here this morning but I see it’s starting to pick up a bit now.

My new goal in life is to grow that mustache. :rotfl2:
:rotfl:
And we’ll be expecting regular updates on the progress.

The weekend is never long enough ownage.

Nope… Nope it not.
Long enough that is, the ownage you picked up fair and square.

My but that’s going to be a whole lot of not much fun.
Prayers for the surgeon, that their best work is done today.
Having been through it before, I’m sure your DD will do fine with the rehab.
It won’t be easy but she already knows that.

Should be interesting.
I’ve considered doing that type of trip at some point. It’d be a good chance to hit Gator land or head over to Canaveral or possibly even venture down to Tampa. But once the funds are allocated and the final decisions are made, it’s hard not to go after that Dis-fix.

So what are y’all planning to tackle this time around; water parks, I-Drive, time over at The Dark Side or Shamoo land?
Let us know what you think of the other diversion that you encounter.

Goes without sayin’

Congrats to Declan. That’s a very hard working young’en you’ve got there.
Sounds like you’d have been better served if you’d gotten home a might latter though. :rotfl2:
May the next few of those games come equipped with a bit better weather.

You represent Team Sparrow well sir.
Keep up the good work.

That's awesome! A win AND an award. I could see how you'd be a little proud ;)

Sorry to hear the weather did not hold out for your game. I do prefer to play indoor where possible. But then again, I haven't played on a team in many years. :lmao:

Emma "won" her game on Saturday. Have to quote it since we are playing rec league and there is no official scorekeeping. But they managed to squeak in 2 goals and held the other team to zero goals. Emma played goalie first half and really didn't get to do much. We've been working on field positioning and passing a lot in the last few weeks at practice and it was seen in the game. Almost looked like they were corralling the other team into little herds around the field :rotfl2: I was a proud coach that afternoon.

As a Florida fan, I am torn up about it. Seems he mistakenly left the store with the crab legs without paying for them. Suspended from the baseball team until he completes the 20 hours of community service that was ordered. Wonder what Jimbo is going to do when the season starts. Probably not much.
Florida State Criminoles
