Good morning all and Happy Easter. Both dds are still sleeping, while their baskets of chocolate and candy corn await. Is there a rule about a parent not eating the candy before their children wake-up? :lmao:

Nope. I say eat it and rearrange to hide the proof.

Happy Easter to all!!!

Happy Easter to you and all of your families!
Thank you David, and the same to you and yours!
Good morning Guys and Happy Easter!
Morning guys. Happy Easter to all celebrating!

Happy Easter everyone! Haha Norm, DD woke me up at 6, she loves stuffed animals, mainly bears and bunnies, she got a bunny and a pull apart Olaf from Frozen and I'm shocked she's been playing with Olaf over the bunny.

Looks like Jim spent the evening getting caught up. I think you need a DisDad sign for Monday's game.

I'll see what I can do. Make sure to watch the game and you can see the seats.

Painting DD's room this weekend... anyone wanna help?

I tried to come help, but forgot my passport and they wouldn't let me in....Sorry.

:rotfl2:

Some guy named Glitter answered it, and said it would be the usual rate... :confused3

Apparently Glitter recognized your voice... :rotfl2:

:rotfl2::rotfl2::lmao::lmao:

Morning guys and Happy Easter. Fed, congrats on the G-man's soccer prowess.

No steamed clams last night. Locked the keys in the car, decided to stay at the hotel and call AAA this morning. Felt like an idiot but not an uncommon condition for me. Found out the pool bartender is leaving for New York in a couple of days so spent the evening having a cocktail or two and saying goodbye. Nice guy.

Off to breakfast and then home. This was a nice diversion. Before I locked the keys in the car, went to Walgreens to buy the Pirate Princess an Easter basket. She was disappointed when she asked me if she was going to get one this year and I told her no, she is an adult now. She is very much an independent person but even at 20, in some ways, she is still the child I knew. She gave up desserts/candy/junk food for Lent and this afternoon I expect a feeding frenzy of sugar laden treats. May try out the ice cream maker I bought a few months ago.

Hope everyone has a great day today.

Nope, it's like Halloween. You need to make sure it's safe. Man law

It has rained in North Florida/South Georgia for three days straight...will it ever end?

I know I haven't mentioned this before, but DS is playing "up" in his soccer league....a Kindergarten kid playing against 1st and 2nd Graders. I was worried at first, but 7 goals in two games later, and three assists, and I'm not worried any more.

The boy has no fear at all...:thumbsup2:rotfl2:

Congrats to DS! Do they play full field? With our younger teams, we moved to 3v3 a few years ago. It's supposed to make sure they all get touches and can participate.

Good evening! How's everyone? Preparing for Easter? DD is going nuts over putting out carrots tonight, she picked out carrots at the store a few days ago and I was thinking she wanted to eat healthy (she does love veggies) come to find out she ate one and said the rest were for the Easter bunny. Yay/yum

:lmao: I'm not sure my kids would actually touch the carrots to put them out. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Nope. Just make sure you wear gloves to avoid leaving finger prints.:thumbsup2 DD was up at 6, DS was doing what a 14 year old does...........Sleep until someone actually roll him out of bed and onto the floor.:sad2::sad2:

DD had 2 hoop games yesterday with her team. Both games were won by 30+ points. The other teams were not that good and we were a lot bigger than they were. Moved the season record to 10-2 so far. Good start and should help us qualify year end playoffs.:thumbsup2

Happy Easter everyone! Sunny and 60's. Lake still frozen, small snow pile left. Going to clean up back yard and put the mat back on the trampoline!

Hope everyone is having a good Easter. Have done little to nothing all day, so so far it's a :thumbsup2

Happy Easter guys. I'm getting off work then we will give little man his basket when I get home. I finished my final so I should be able to keep up..... well depending on how the work thing goes.

They will always be our children. I think after I moved out, my parents gave me an Easter basket, then cash, then nothing at all. I guess it is a gradual process. :lmao:

Good plan.

Even better plan. Some monster could have messed with it after DW brought it home from the store. Definitely need to sample several pieces for safety. :thumbsup2 :lmao:

My 12 year old is starting to sleep more, but still hasn't hit that long sleep stuff yet. Congrats on the basketball games. Even if the competition doesn't stack up, it is a chance to work on some other skills not normally done in the game.

Lake still frozen? How long does it still frozen?

That sounds like a great day.

You won't be able to get by with that much longer. DW had Christmas on Christmas Eve with her dad in part because of his work schedule.

No stuffed animals here, just candy. They both have a room full of stuffed animals. We went to pillow pets as well.......

I had an enjoyable day with the in-laws. Then, back home for some NBA playoffs. The dds are on a sugar high from all the candy, so I told them to go play in the street.

I wish the Easter bunny understood that DDs playroom and room are packed with stuffed animals, she can almost charge admission for a zoo!

And we wonder why a DisDad has never been voted father of the year before, coffee mugs and ties don't count lol

Well everyone knows about my love of Disney and the park that shall not be named, with 2 trips pretty close to back to back I've had to do double research on both. We are staying at the new Cabana Bay in Sept and I gotta say this hotel looks awesome!

A few people on the forums have been posting pics from stays and this hotel is perfectly themed. Very excited to stay at 2 hotels new to me this fall.

Stuffed to the gills here from a double helping of scalloped potatoes and ham. Been a relaxing day here, not much going on. Sat outside for a while just enjoying the weather, but it'll be much nicer once all the green comes out.

Girls made like bandits, scored three DS games from us, and Amelia announced an hour or so ago that she already finished the Olaf's Quest DS. :confused3 Crazy kid..:rotfl2:
