Another fun day.

Have no idea where my keys are. Looked all over and could not find them. Had to call a locksmith to break into the car and cut me a new set. I am sure the keys will reappear by tomorrow morning.

Then the kid calls and United canceled her flight home tonight. Their reason? "The plane broke?" Huh? Now flies home early am tomorrow and will be here around 9.

Got the mail and Thrifty sent me a bill for charged toll fees on a rental. The toll amount - $3.45, the administrative fee - $100. I have the Florida pre paid toll plan so that will be scratched off. After an argument I expect.

Also in the mail is a letter from the IRS saying I owe $2,800 from 2012 because her education allowance was denied. Will talk to the accountant (after a short April 15 recovery time) and expect that to be overturned. She is entitled to the allowance. After another argument of course.

Finally the mutt I did not want escaped under the fence. The bad news is that he came back.

It has gotten to the point where it is laughable. No sympathies needed. Seriously, I am laughing and saying, "What's next. Bring it." Determined to carry on and make sure 2014 does not suck. To that end, I am visiting a friend in DC at the end of the month to see the Cheetah run the Nike Diva Half. She has a great opportunity over the summer with her internship and I may be joining her on some research dives. And we have the WDW trip in June. Plus if she can get some time off and the IRS gets settled, I am looking at a RCL cruise deal sometime over the summer. That may not happen but I have a dream.

Now to the Boston Mafia, if you placed a curse on us, I surrender. Paul, I promise she won't shiv you. Well, probably. Jim, you are a worthy adversary and from all accounts a fine fellow. WOW, my tongue didn't just jump out of my mouth after that last statement.

Survived yesterday's day in history when Lincoln was shot and the Titanic hit an Iceberg. Today Lincoln died and the Titanic sank.

I week till (da da---- da da da ) Disney:banana::yay:

I think I have found my new Favorite show on TV :confused3 Mountain Monsters, it is almost like finding Bigfoot, but they are Hillbillies with guns and if they hear a noise they don't say that was probably a bigfoot or whatever they are looking for, they run in that direction and try to find what made the noise :rolleyes1

Another show on that channel I thought was interesting was Bowfishing 24 - 7 - 365 where a fishing pole is replaced by a compound bow, it is probably really hard to do but looks like fun:thumbsup2

After all the tax Beverly day, remember that today is Jackie Robinson day.

Another fun day.

Throwing in the towel with all the voodoo. Just remember, you live in Miami and I had snow here this AM.

"]Connecticut taxpayers to receive $55 refund[/URL]

It is all a crock. There is no real surplus just the gubmint fudging numbers. I'm gonna have to pay taxes on that $55. I wish they would drop a few cents off one of the highest gas taxes in the country or just hold onto the money.
?)

Moving at the speed of government. Nothing like being able to double tax the money.

That sounds very cool. Which do you think takes more time... TR writing or video editing? Would love to see the final product.

So, the question is, did you ever finish that trip report? :lmao:

You could do it Norm's way and do it live. Or you can do it my way, just post pictures to the DISDad's Travelogue.

Looks I may be swaying Randall to the Team Sparrow side, where little effort goes a really long way. :lmao:

:
I filed my taxes last month to the state. A week later they sent me a check saying I overpaid. Then another week later they sent me a bill saying the check I received was due to a computer glitch, and I needed to pay that amount back...plus an extra $3 for some reason.:confused3

Couldn't you just go home a minute early without pay? Oh, that would mean two government agencies would work efficiently together. Work? Efficiently? Bueller?

Welcome to the Club Dave!

And just so you know Norm doesn't distribute the dues. :furious:
:

Inconceivable. The Canadian penguin army must have impounded yours.

Hahahahaha! The newbie said we're "distinguished!" I love it when the new guys come in with high expectations and realize that we're just a bunch of yahoo sitting around telling fart jokes.

Anyway, welcome aboard. Pull my finger..

You can fool some of the people some of the time. Kinda like wearing cheese on your head - it looks really cool in the beginning.......

You really should take her over there one time. Just be prepared for comments like, "This is not clean like Disney World." or "This queue is so boring... it's not like Disney World." or "In Disney World I wouldn't have bad customer service like this"..... In the words of Ariel, "it's a whole new world"

Good to know. I am the holdout. One year, her boss went and someone hit his car in the parking lot at SeaWorld. That one got me out of going there that year. I'll tell her what you said and I can skip another.

After all the tax Beverly day, remember that today is Jackie Robinson day.

Very true. A great day in baseball and our nation's history.

Throwing in the towel with all the voodoo. Just remember, you live in Miami and I had snow here this AM.

Snow? Letter from the IRS? I'll take snow. But life doesn't suck for me. I may need to visit your bourbon bar though.

Nicely done. :thumbsup2

Another fun day.

Maybe the dog took them? :rolleyes2

Better that the plane broke now instead at 35,000 ft.

Geez. When it rains it pours.

You can always send Jim your taxes. I'm sure he will 'fix' it for you. :smokin:

Speaking of snow…. it's snowing & sleeting with thunder right now. Weather man is predicting 1-2 inches tonight. We drive to Maryland tomorrow morning. Hope the roads are ok. :rolleyes2

Snowing in NJ right now. The kid went outside and screamed, "WHYYYYYY?"

Happy Passover to any that celebrate...

Happy Passover to you and your family!

And Happy Easter to those who celebrate that...

Thank you

After all the tax Beverly day, remember that today is Jackie Robinson day.

One go the great things baseball does, have everyone where his number for a day, and per mantled retire it so it is not worn again on any team. Besides being a great ball player, he was a veteran who served our country. He is and will always be an American Hero.

Morning all. Been a busier week than I prefer, especially after a week in WDW. This is my last 180 mile day, then I can stay in the office.

Snow? Letter from the IRS? I'll take snow. But life doesn't suck for me. I may need to visit your bourbon bar though.

Right on both counts. I'm available to go to the bourbon bar as soon as you arrive.

Snowing in NJ right now. The kid went outside and screamed, "WHYYYYYY?"

She was the one who selected a school that far north.

Hi all,

I humbly ask that you consider my application for membership to the group.

I have wanted to work for Disney since my first trip when I was 12, but now that it looking unlikely unless I can wangle a retirement job there in a few years. My daughter has now taken on the quest to be an imagineer.

Living in the UK means that trips to WDW are expensive but I have still managed a Disney holiday of one variety or another every year since 2007. Unfortunately I pointed this out to my wife, so this year is off the cards.

I have visited WDW, Disneyland, Disneyland Paris, Tokyo Disneyland, and been on the Magic and Wonder.

I also develop mobile apps in my spare time, and have just released my first Disney one called PhotoSpot WDW which helps you take better photos in the parks.

I rest my case.

Thanks

Peter

Dave, Peter... Welcome to the club! :thumbsup2

::yes:: ::yes::

When life gives you lemons you make lemonade, but what can you make from all that Beverly?

I like the $100 administrative fee on a $3.45 toll. Highway robbery. Literally. :crazy2:

Hey Ron! 1 week? Lucky!

Saw previews for Mountain Monsters and I thought of you. Weird. :rotfl2:

BTW... headed to BG this afternoon. When are you headed there again?

So, the question is, did you ever finish that trip report? :lmao:

Actually, yes :wizard: I re-read it yesterday... Cant' believe how fast time is flying by!

Good to know. I am the holdout. One year, her boss went and someone hit his car in the parking lot at SeaWorld. That one got me out of going there that year. I'll tell her what you said and I can skip another.

If you hold out long enough she can read my TR that I write after this trip
