I go 2-3 times a year. Once with Mom and Dad for birthdays and DW likes to go around our anniversary. Other than that, we may go into a casino if we are on vacation and there is one in the hotel or close. It is not a coincidence. I did see a lot of families there yesterday though and I always ask myself if I would take my kids there. :confused3 Makes no sense to me that I would ever take a family vacation at a casino.

We actually went to Mohegan with the kids over the summer. There was a Make A Wish event down near there and by the time it was over it was 5pm. We didn't know what to do for dinner so we stopped. Ended up eating at Pepe's… but I totally understand what you are saying. I love when it is midnight and people are walking with their kids or you see them sitting on a bench. :scared:

Hello Knuckleheads? :rotfl2::lmao::rotfl2:

Missed yesterday so I'll just start new. DS turned 14 on Tuesday, my dad turns 66 today so a lot of birthdays this week. Went to Foxwoods casino yesterday and managed to come home with $500+ of their money for a change.:cool1: Told DS I would use the profits to take him fishing at Disney this August.:thumbsup2

Prayers to those in need, congratulations to all those deserving and Hapy Weekend to all!

Congrats on both birthdays. Hope you made sure they had fun knucklehead.

So, what's the story with you and bridges? The road ones, not Todd.

I DO NOT LIKE BRIDGES. They are rusting death traps that will fall down sooner or later. Earthquake in California, what happened, the bridge collapsed. Boat hits a bridge in Tampa, bridge collapsed. The worst was the Keys in the 70's and 80's. They were literally held together by chewing gum and binders twine. Wood trusses in salt water is not a good combination.

I know it is an unreasonable and stupid fear but I can't help it. On the last trip to see the kid, going over the bridge in Jax freaked me out. Nearly broke off the steering wheel because I was holding on for dear life. Same with the ones in and near Delaware. One says drive at your own risk because high winds will blow you off and the other has to be a billion years old. I actually had to stop before going over the Golden Gate to psych myself up before taking that sucker on. Went over it at about 150 mph just to get back on terra ferma.

I hope it's cooler during the race this year. I'd imagine it would be rough running in a costume in that heat. Hopefully you'll get a chance to sleep on the plane on the way back.
I hope so to, I will prob only ride ToT during the party and then head back to the hotel, I decided on the costume but it will be run savvy, no way I could run it in full on costume but should be able to use it for MNSSHP as well.

Well tomorrow is one of the biggest days in Richmond each year. The Monument Ave 10K which draws about 40,000 runners. Race time temps are ok at 55 degrees but an 80 % chance of rain and over an inch of rain expected. Awesome.

Yep. Trying to get to 55 minutes, but my knee is a little cranky so this might not be the year to set a personal best.

Good luck! I am running a 5k in 2 weeks and then a 10k for cinco de mayo in hopes of doing 1 hour so I can turn it in for the ToT 10 miler but realistically it'll prob be closer to 1:15

.

Didn't mean to traumatize you. I've been on the Golden Gate and Bay Bridge. I thought they were cool. I always figured I would go out eating a cheeseburger.

10 hours between posts ownage? That might be some kind of record. :lmao:

Half the state is in mourning this morning as UL lost. But, half the state is celebrating as well. UL couldn't hit free throws last night. UK has picked it up at the end of the season, but still just don't get this team. Either way, my bracket is toast.

Only thing on the calendar for today is soccer. It is 43 degrees and raining, and i'm hoping for a cancellation.

That game hurt my bracket but I'm with the celebrating half of your state.

Should be some good games today and tomorrow.

I have a half marathon in 2 weeks. Haven't run more than 3 miles in the past 2 months so it should be fun. I hope you're able to submit a good time for TOT.

:lmao::lmao:

The "Nice" bridge between Md and Virginia used to freak me out.

Late morning. Fighting a crappy head cold. I was searching YouTube last night and found the "must do's" with Stacy. I always get the song stuck in my head "Livin it ou, love that feeling". I'm guessing it was written for Disney. If it is a real song and anyone knows it, let me know. We are going to watch the Epcot walk through again today, I'm making the girls close their eyes and seeing if they would no what's next.

Did some looking and found a version of it on mousebits. It's a torrent and I'm posting from my phone so can't post the link.

You may need to buy a duck boat.:lmao::lmao: That way you can just avoid the bridges and drive across.:thumbsup2
