Morning guys. Had a great day in Cincy yesterday. Went to the Ikea store fore the first time to use a gift card we received. I have to say I was impressed. They have a restaurant in there with live jazz music and all 4 of us ate for less than $15! We got some storage items and some things for traveling to Poland that we had our eye on.

Unfortunately, we forgot we had a commitment last evening so we had to head back at 3pm, otherwise we may have still been there, lol.

Enjoy longer evenings, Happy Daylight Savings!!

Good morning gents! Had a nice day with DW yesterday just the two of us as DS is at state for TSA this weekend (Technology Student Association). A preview of things to come in just a couple of years when the boy heads off to school. All have a good one.

Justification for lots of trips. :cool1:

As if I needed any more.

Yeah it would take a lot of them but think how cool it would look.... I have toyed with putting my name then putting like the hotel like "Alex BLT" (in my dreams I know) then I would have the resort listed on the band like an extra souvenir. .

Yeah, not sure if the plan is to stop giving them out. They gave out those KTTW cards, never asking for them back. Who knows. I didn't think about changing the names for the bands. I just went with the same color and everything. There is still time for the October trip.

Glad to hear it went well. Read your blog post this morning and glad to hear all the PWK is finally done.

DS14 and figured we give it another shot before the seasons over. Had us some Bacon and eggs and now trying to catch lunch.

We are too. There will be more when we get them home. We have to post reports back to Poland for many years to come, but at least they will be home!

Evening Guys.

Last night in Florida, we fly home in the morning. I got a round of golf in this morning at Grand Cyprus. Happy with a 98 after not playing for 6 months and using clubs belonging to someone else. Started strong (just about drove the green on 1), had a terrible middle and scrambled to finish with some decent holes. The one big minus for that day was that it was flippin' cold, 59 degrees when we finished just after lunch. That's not the Florida weather I was looking for. :lmao:

Overall it was a great trip and now I can look forward to our cruise in July.

Safe travels home. Sounds like a great trip.

Good luck to both the kids and you figuring out your identity crisis.

Thanks. DS lost on Friday night to the #1 seed (we re #7). We play today on the start of our quest through the losers bracket. DD's team won our second round game and made it to the semifinals. We were matched up against a good 6th grade team( we are 5th grade). They were bigger, faster and more experienced than us. Not a good combination. Seriously, I thought they were an 8th grade team when I first saw them they were so big. Girls fought hard, but in the end we lost and are now done for the season. One last fun practice on Tuesday to end it on a good note.

Can I ask why this thread was started back in Dec and it is still here and active??? why has in not been killed yet???:stir:

The thread is still open because you are not posting enough!

Thanks to all for your kind "welcome backs", and I'm wondering about something, maybe someone here knows without me trying to find the paperwork. I have the Disney Visa card and there is a Disney store close by me. I'm probably going to pick up some Disney t - shirts for the grandkids before our May vacation, but I'm wondering if anybody knows if I'll earn extra points or any other incentives for using the card at a Disney Store? This New York winter has been a killer. I need me some more of the World. Let me ask you guys something, after 10 trips there, over about 10 years, I still think about Disney every single day. Do i need professional help?:confused3

Depends on the card, regular gets 1 point I think the high end gets 2. If you spend $50 you get a % off your purchase. Around here, they had a special offer on something extra, but I don't remember what it was.

Aren't WE professionals???

:lmao::rotfl2: Why yes, yes we are.

Just saw this, I know all of you would appreciate this technology.

Did someone say bacon?

Milestone today, my wife has put up with me for 15 years of marriage...so I'm taking her to Disney World (with our 5 kids).

Few days to go!

Congratulations!

The car is in the shop and I am waiting for a call saying it is fixed. Big repair job on the steering and finally getting the tires replaced. I am not going to sweat it though. Monday will be crazy with DR.s appointments and probably more tests. Insurance is jerking me around saying I need a referral before she sees the specialist but the doctor they assigned her no longer is part of their coverage.

Nevertheless, a much needed day to relax. The Pirate Princess made it home early yesterday morning and is in Homestead with the twins next door. They stopped at a local farm and we have fresh corn, tomatoes and cukes for a potential BBQ tomorrow.

About to open a bottle of wine and watch Florida try to go 18-0 in league play. Go Gators! Have a good one guys. Oh and GO GATORS!

Hope the repairs are not too much $$.

We had the run around on MRI's a few weeks ago for my knee with the whole referral thing. Hope it gets resolved and pirate:princess: is feeling better soon.

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 to getting them home. Continued prayers everything goes smooth.

Morning Guys,

we made it home last night around 9. Long day of travel but it was great to sleep in my own bed! Overall we had a great trip, even with only one Disney day. Had a few first, IoA, spring training game and a round of golf in the sunshine state. The rest of the week was nice and relaxing. Now to start a countdown to our adults only cruise in July.

We managed to get home in time for Declan's 13th birthday. He says he doesn't feel any different.

I guess it's because the Chatty Carl's don't want to hang with us. :confused3

I competed in that when I was in high school. What categories?

Prayers to those in need.
Any updates on the pirate princess?

BBQ! I can only wish, still a foot of snow in my yard. Make a burger for me if you could, just a slice of tomato and a slice of raw onion...

I didn't realize there was more PWK. Prayers it is smooth sailing from here.
