It was a crazy few days. Andriana was complaining about her eyesight and a few other things going on, which prompted a visit to the ER on Friday. I left Sunday morning and was here in time to see the specialist Monday at noon. More tests Monday and a call Wednesday from the doctor to get her back to the ER. Spent Wednesday night and part of Thursday at the hospital. We both crashed when we made it back to the hotel.

They are not sure what is causing the problems but the MRI ruled out a tumor. She starts steroid treatment tonight and will be following up with a doctor in Miami next week. More tests to narrow it down. I will be driving back Sunday, hopefully ahead of an incoming storm.

The weather here is nuts. It was 9 degrees last night but it might break freezing tomorrow. Not a lot of new snow which is good but why anyone would live up here is beyond me.

She is in good spirits and I have calmed down a bit. I will send more info when we know anything.

Other that that Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

That's scary CJ. Hope the meds take care of what ever it is. Sending prayers!

I felt like the actual mysteries took a back seat this season, and they just went for goofy comedy. Not that there's anything wrong with goofy comedy, of course. And I did like that particular character twist you mentioned.

I also felt like Sherlock's solution to the final case was very out-of-character, and surprisingly consequence-free.

That’s a pretty concise explanation of the problems I had as well. We’ll get Moriarty back in S-4 (assuming it gets made) and that might help refocus things a bit. The explanation for it alone should be interesting.

On the twist bit of it… it took them a long while to comeback around to the detail, but I knew something was amiss with that particular back story right from the “Skip Code” incident. Otherwise that was merely a Deus ex machine moment on the part of the writes; which would have been disappointing.

Ya’ should’a chosen a better play. Scary stuff there.
Glad she’s dong a bit better and please do let us know how things shake out when you learn more.
Prayers sir.

Morning Guys,

The first part of the journey begins later today.:banana:

So looking forward to this.
You suck.

Have a great time.

Happy Friday guys!

Doc gave me some exercises to do and told me to keep taking Advil. Wasn't happy with my weight, so I guess I know what I am giving up for Lent :(
What does weight have to do with your shoulder? :rolleyes1

So you're going to give up going to the doctor for Lent?
:thumbsup2 :rotfl2::rotfl::lmao:

Yuck. Sorry to hear. Thoughts and prayers to the disdad eating cheetah pirate princes. Hopefully they get it figured out and straightened out quickly.

Well, it wasn't your fault. You weren't playing defense/ :dance3:

Neither were the Flyers.

It's not a tumor! (Sorry, somebody had to say it.)

Hope they figure out the problem soon, and she's feeling 100% quickly. One of these days I need to say hi when you're passing through Delaware. Preferably not in a blizzard, though.

We're going to need an entire page to keep track of all these nicknames soon.

Sorry to hear about Andriana! Hope the docs can figure out what the heck is going on....that's some scary stuff!

Glad to hear she's in good spirits.

And you know you can always lean on us for some encouragement CJ. :thumbsup2

Giving up the Doctor???

You're a page too late for that joke... ;)

I'm back. Spent a week in St. George Island, FL with the in-laws, SWMBO, and kids and then had a three day state conference to attend. Florida was warmer than here and now it looks like another week of subfreezing temperatures on the way. :sad2: If I could just break my family of wanting to eat everyday, I could think about moving.

No time for looking back too far, but it seems as though there are plenty of prayer needs and not enough bacon or rum, so prayers for those in need:angel: and bacon and rum for all who are hungry or thirsty pirate:popcorn::.

Glad you enjoyed it! I didn't like season 3 as much as the first two, but I'm sure I'll be right back in when season 4 comes out in about 5 years.
I agree. I really liked the plot in that last episode though. But the way they set up season 4 seemed kind of weak.
‘
I remember the conversation.
Glad you enjoyed it.

Granted they are a bit long per. Though immensely watchable, I haven’t been able to get my lovely DW interested in them either. Anything with a lot of little details tends to make her head ache.

Have to agree. It had moments of brilliance, but seems a little bit more of a struggle writing wise. The main character twist did catch me by surprise so they get points for that one. Five years you say… You may be more right then you know.
I think my wife likes the little details. It's fun to say, "oh yeah- did you catch that seemingly insignificant detail about a half hour ago? It was important!! But she gets up before 6 every day to go to the gym and by the time we get the kids in bed she's about wiped out so it's hard to watch with her. What is the main character twist you're referring to? Is it the way he solved the "Magnussen" problem?

Sounds like my wife…. always passes out.

The first step is admitting she has a problem.

Love Kona breakfast, Boma breakfast & dinner, don't know if you are into character meals but Tusker House is along the lines of Boma and is good. Cape May- all you can eat seafood.

Had to put your 2 cents in huh?

Dude, prayers going out for her. Hopefully they can figure things out. And remind her that you're the one who's suposed to be dealing with the medical issues, not her. (I try to tell Megan that all the time)

Take care and enjoy the "change of seasons". :)

Studies have shown you can survive with food every other day. I don't know if you can stay married, but you can survive.

No, he was talking about the new character who was revealed to have a history in the 3rd episode.

Inconceivable!

Did we already realize that we'll be there at the same time? I'll check in to BLT on Aug 24 but will hopefully be offsite for a few days before that. Once I get my park days figured out, we'll see if we can figure out a meet.
No, he was talking about the new character who was revealed to have a history in the 3rd episode.

Oh that. I don't think that story line really excites me- mostly because I think she's just so-so as an actor and as far as I know I don't think she was a big deal in Doyle's original works. I'd rather see Irene Adler make a comeback.

What does weight have to do with your shoulder? :rolleyes1

.

Apparently my butt is too big to lift out of bed, so I need to lose some weight :lmao:

It was just another thing he discussed. He was honest and said that the BMI chart they normally use does not apply to me. My shoulders are the width of someone 3-4" taller than me. He just wants to lose 20-30lbs. to help my knees and back.
