Well now it pouring rain and thundering & lighting out. Guess I'll wait to snow blow. Hope my DW can make it through the driveway and into the garage.

It is raining here and temps have been falling - down to 35 at 2:00 PM. I guess that means more ice and cancellations next week. Yeah!

A snow day meant lots of shoveling and clearing the cars off (and a bit of play). While I was out there, the girls had a bit of fun and made a snowman.

Looks like they had lots of fun. We have only had one good snow for snowmen making.

Took the kids sledding last night and I used one of the sleds to test my snowboarding skills. I'm seriously getting some stupid ideas after watching the Olympics. It could have ended up much worse than it did. I managed to ride the sled well enough that I'm really seriously thinking I need to get a real snowboard now.

Maybe Corey can contact his Empire friends about sending some of those snow walker shooting things towards your sled course? I'm confident you can out maneuver them.

3 inches of snow yesterday. 53 and sunny today. Couldn't stand being in the office any longer so I got my black raspberries pruned at least. Rain starting now, snow and colder to come over night. At least when it comes now it doesn't stay that long.

Happy Valentine's Day on a Friday! Last work day before vacation. I emailed Air Tran to explain they would not let me pre-select my seats so I would have to hope my kids could sit with a parent. I politely explained that I am perfectly happy not sitting with my children, but those that do end up with them may not have a great flight. The response was "it is not our policy, but as a courtesy we have assigned your seats on all flights to allow your family to sit together". I guess they know my children as well as I do. Wil try to post some pics while there, but not sure what the internet situation will be. Now that would have been the better option since everything is ice here today. Supposed to get some sun today (before more snow tomorrow and even more on Tuesday). Hopefully we'll get some melting. As I was clearing things yesterday, the first hour was sleet blowing in my face at about 30 mph. After that we had downpours. So by the time I was done 3 1/2 hours later, I was bleeding, soaked and couldn't feel my fingers. Bring on spring, I'm ready.

Morning Guys.

Sitting here having some coffee watching the USA/Russia hockey game. I can't believe NBC won't even show this live on the weekend.

We have ended up with a "free" weekend as the plug was pulled the basketball provincials. Suppose to be rescheduled to next weekend and of course I have meetings all weekend. We also found out that DS's club team will be competing in the top tier for the age class provincials next month. That is going to be tough as they are the top team in tier 2 but have a heavy lifting to do to compete in tier 1.

Rain stopped early and no other precipitation. So, the weather people had it wrong. It is only 12 degrees here at 7:00 AM.

I haven't watched any of the NBC coverage; I usually do to see what they are not saying. I have been answering their tweets though. When they tweet the XXXX event is coming up, I respond with "Do you want to know what happened?"

Arnt you flying out soon for vacation? Hope they get the runways clear long enough for you to take off.

After 2 weeks of freezing weather and ice storms, it is gonna be sunny and in the upper 70's this weekend. Finally will be able to get out and do some yard work. Hope everyone's French toast, bacon and alcohol supply is holding out. I will send some spring up there to yall as soon as I figure out how much its gonna cost with the new postage rates.
