....You guys should see if you have a club near you...

None in KY, surprisingly.

I used to watch it CHCH TV-11 out of Hamilton. Sure beat watching the Sabres though cheerleaders would have improved either.

I seriously am a fan this time of year. I'm really going to miss cable the next two weeks.

There are times I miss it, but you get used to it. It has been 4 years without any TV other than when traveling for us. SWMBO has her favorite shows on DVD and the tax deductions like audio books or even ....real books.

I didn't want to drive anywhere and in reality the neighborhood is pretty quiet. Well there was this one time a few years ago when some guy was breaking into cars and someone down the street saw him, shot him and went back to bed. True story...

My kind of neighborhood.

I see why you like the Olympics

You guys should see if you have a club near you. Best part is you can drink while you do it:

I like that sport very much.

They were supposed to build a club down here but they have taken down the signage. Either there was a loss of interest or someone realized that it is expensive to maintain ice in the 107 degree weather we have the other 10 months out of the year.

It is much harder than it looks.

That's what she said.

Sounds like you need me guarding the neighborhood.

Nice to see it isn't just me. I actually really like watching curling.

I like watching curling as well.

Halloween or a costume party but not that much recently. It takes the help of another to get into it and the cape alone weighs 10lbs so it is not comfortable to wear for long periods as it is also very hot. Friday nights are a no as it takes too long to get out of it and after wearing one is a sweat hog.:lmao:

Sounds like there should be a way to vent that thing.

Stay safe if you are on the roads guys. Another dustng of snow, another fatality in the county. Out of 4 winters I have lived here, 3 of those have resulted in someone going into a creek or river in the county.
:

No fatalities here yet, but lots of wrecks, flipped cars, etc. Snow just brings out the stupid in drivers.

If you can't find trouble to get into at 3:30 AM in Miami you really need the DISDads to load up the bus and pay a visit. :drive:

I'll gladly use your credit card at 3:30 AM in Miami and I'll have lots of fun.

I see why you like the Olympics

Our tentative departure date is 4/18

Awesome news. Will keep praying.

I thought we had, we were just waiting on CJ to cave to the peer pressure and let us move in to his front yard.
.

Just when did CJ have a say in all this.

hello dads, don't hang out or post much anymore around here but I got a text tonight from a dad who I stayed in contact with about a post on face book.out of respect for the person posting I wont go into details. im not on facebook but I just wanted to say Tammy, Briana and myself support you and your son. all three of us met your son in june and he is one heck of a young man. even today Briana still talks about our meet and has the meets picture in her scrap book.
even though I don't really know you or your family, I do know what its like having a kid travel far away from home and work for the mouse and the trials that come with it. im also glad so many were able to meet him and visit him while living his dream. you really find out who your friends are.
im glad we took the time to meet him and I pray for the person who has such feelings.
I also applaud you for having the courage to post what was on your mind.
keep your head up and maybe one day we will meet again at the world. :thumbsup2

Morning everyone.. Nicely said Dave..

Work has been all sorts of fun this week. Staffing is at al time low due to illnesses, and other issues, and we can only get the bare minimum done. Hoping we can get caught up this weekend. Only thing keeping it from getting critical is the weather has helped keep things a bit quiet.

Keep warm guys

Hi Dave! :wave2:

And :thumbsup2

Morning all. Another snow day here, so I get to enjoy being home with the dds. That does have them missing school for the entire week, and our One Call notices were quick to remind us that we will be making up movie day, field day, renaissance day, pajama day, and carnival day into June. I wish I could afford to home school my girls.

I hope all have safe travels today.

A small rant. For the first time in my sales career I am being micro managed and I absolutley hate it. I have zero problem with supervision, discussions, meetings, weekly reviews of what I am doing, but to have it on a daily basis is quite frankly insulting.

My company made the decision to re-work how we quote things and as a result we have lost quite a bit of business over the last 12 months. We are seen by our customers as too expensive and our competition has swept in. My problem is that I have taken my boss on joint calls for him to hear this with his own ears. Yet, when I spend time on a new project we have a shot at, I am criticized for not making more cold calls. If I don't see these things though and we lose them then it is my income that suffers.

I don't know what to do. I have been contacted by other companies over the last 3-4 months asking if I am interested in joinging them. We are about to make a huge transisition in our lives by expanding our family. Is now the right time to switch jobs in an already stressful situation? Do I sit still and then lose my job in six months? It has been a very frustrating last few weeks.

Sorry for being long winded.

Good morning and boy did I need a Friday. Dave - nice to hear from you again and well stated :thumbsup2
Here's something to hopefully help jump start everyone's Friday morning:

Here's to a great weekend, stay safe and warm and don't forget to give the kiddos those big DISDad hugs.
